Meeting my first poz "trick"

And i want to do it raw bad. I know we ve talked about this a million times on here. I want no worry raw sex before dx if it happened raw I was all worried and scared I was going to get this. So it wasnt really enjoyable. Now i got it so I want to enjoy worry free raw sex. I know the other std's but lets leave that out of here for a minute.
Many of you enjoy raw sex with other poz's??

My bf and I don't use condoms, but if I were going to get with a trick, I'd insist on a condom. Syphilis or some other STI just isn't worth it.

You can't really have this conversation without bringing STIs into it. Sorry.

Many of you enjoy raw sex with other poz's??

That's the craziest thing. If you have raw sex with another HIV+ you may get infected with a different strain of the virus, which will make it more difficult for you to find the right combination of ARV drugs, if at all. That's how most people die of AIDS these days. It it really worth it?

Yes, really, you are wrong.

For a start, re-infection is relatively rare and the few (less than a handful) cases have all been in people who were dealing with very new initial infections. Most poz people I know don't worry about re-infection. To be honest, I feel like it is something the doctors try to scare us into using condoms with more than anything we really need to worry about.

Because re-infection is so rare, it is obviously not how "most people die of aids these days".

Seriously, unless your initial infection is less than a year old, the main thing you need to worry about when barebacking with other pozzies is other STIs - notably syphilis, which can be more difficult to treat when you also have hiv.

My bf and I bareback with each other with confidence. For a start, if we do go outside of our relationship, we use condoms because we're with hiv negative people. Also, we are both regularly screened for STIs at our hiv clinic. Our screens always return negative results.

The first time I met up with another poz guy to bang, I was all excited about the prospect of going all natural.

Given my awesome luck, I ended up with the clap. Wackiness ensued when the infection traveled up my urethra, and I couldn't urinate. That was a memorable trip to the ER. Womp womp. 

I would definitely consider it if my partner was poz, but not with a stranger. It really wasn't worth it.

Its "worry free" for the aids....  Not for other stuff.  And you know it.  So its an oxymoron.   Why don't you just enjoy the raw sex with or without the worries.

Excellent point everyone. Don't want any other STI or STDs. If I meet a + guy who will want to start a relationship I would consider it though, with bringing it up with the Doc first.

I really didn't know this information Ann, thank you for enlightning me. First the oral sex thing and now this...gotta love doctors eh?
