Why God, Why?
« on: December 20, 2006, 12:34:09 pm »
Why must I wake up to a Bad Bowel Day™ the one day I have to do ALL of my Christmas shopping?  WHY?  I've sat on that damn toilet five times in the last five hours and shoved down copious immodium.  Now I must go out shopping, using the subway, etc. in this state... so not enjoyable!

And it must be done today as my father is driving up to fetch me tomorrow at noon.

le sigh

I guess lunch at Wendy's is a no-no today!

I know exactly how u feel. I hate taking the subway when I feel sick or down because people on the subway are so observative that they stare and stare at you.

Anyhow Don't think about it so much.. Do local shopping

Go shopping where you know the location of all the toilets!

Yeah, I have to go to Macy's downtown so that's very safe.  I may have to put off on going to South Street to the Adidas store and make my father run me by there on the way out of town tomorrow.

Ever since switching my combo in May I hardly ever have Bad Bowel Days, so it's just doubly annoying because it had to happen today.

I feel you pain Philly, one good thing from this, your sphincter muscle will get a good workout today when your clenching while racing around the shops  ;D

I hope you made it to the loo when needed xXx

Oh My God.  You would have to work Scarlet O'Hara in here. Thats one of the best lines ever...along with...."Tomorrow is another day!"  and "but Cha ARE in that wheelchair Blanche!" and " I told you...whap...NO wire hangers!"
Nothing like a bit of humor to make a bad bowel day better. And for those who really love to look at stools: my accupuncturist makes mine very nice and firm.  Believe it or not.

Well, I think it may have run it's course as I've stayed away from the toilet now for 2.5 hours.  Fortunately stores are open late tonight so I can procrastinate a bit more in need be.

Joel,  are you serious?  Acupuncture helps with that?   That is a new one on me....

I need to try accupuncture.

Acupuncture can do just about everything short of filing your taxes for you, kids!  I went for digestion problems years ago.  Once the needles were in, I felt my tummy start to swell and bloat.  I thought things were about to go horribly wrong- and I was about to call in the therapist for help.  Then suddenly-  the swell subsided (no, no farts or anything- it just subsided) and I felt a relief.

End of story!  From there on, things just restored themselves to a balance.

It's true.  All true.

Well, thanks for that testimonial Tim.  Yes, Alan, its true. Accupuncture is all about balance and if something is out of balance the treatment is to correct that.  Seriously changed my bowl movements for the better.

I thought it was a load of bollocks.

On another note I have returned from intensive powershopping with nary a knock at my backdoor the entire time.
