Title: Penis tip against anus!
Post by: Paulp11 on June 25, 2013, 09:33:54 pm
Hi, Thanks for reading and answering me. I'm concerned about my last encounter with a stranger. We had mutual unprotected oral sex and protected anal sex (I'm an insertive partner) The condom was on all the time during the penetration. Unfortunately, now which is 2 weeks after, I've developed some symptoms like Tonsilitis, cough, runny nose and I get tired easily. So I'm worry if something went wrong during sex. Should I get tested for this?

Hi Paul , you didn't have a risk , the oral sex is not a risk and you had protected anal intercourse , so no risk .

Your symptoms are not specific to HIV so we cant discuss them , it would be like guessing what's wrong with you and we do not engage in guessing .

As a sexually active adult you should be using condoms for vaginal and anal sex , if you do this consistently and correctly you will avoid exposure to HIV .
You should be having sexual health checkups at least once a year and remember to get tested for ALL STD's including HIV . Some STD's can go for long periods without symptoms and they are much easer to get than HIV , so get your checkup .

You didn't have a risk in this particular situation so you can relax and put this incident behind you .

Hi,

3 hours ago, I had a casual sex with a guy who said earlier that he doesn't have any STD or HIV. We kissed a lot and he penetrated me with condom. He ejaculated inside me. I checked the condom later, it was perfectly fine. After that, we frottaged. He rubbed his penis against my bottom and tried to push his penis tip on the entrance of anus. I realized that so i told him to stop and he did. The penis didnt penetrated all the way through my anus but 1/3 of the gland might went in. Should i be worried about this in term of HIV? or is PEP required? I just tested negative last week for everything.

Thank you for answering :)

Paul,

Frottage is not a risk for hiv infection and what you're describing isn't actual penetration. I wouldn't worry about this if I were you. You certainly do NOT need PEP over this.

You did all you needed to do in order to avoid hiv infection - namely used a condom for intercourse.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED FURTHER HIV TESTING AT THIS TIME, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Thank you, Ann.

Your answer is really helpful but I have one more thing to ask. I just came across this term called "dipping". So my situation was the dipping, right? I just felt the pressure when he pushed but i dont think it popped in.

Paul,

Dipping refers to inserting the penis an inch or two, past the outer anal sphincter. You'd know if that were the case. I really do think you're worrying for no good reason.

At the end of the day, you'll have to decide for yourself. You were there, I wasn't.
