Worried - Odd Circumstances
« on: February 21, 2009, 05:08:10 pm »
I am going crazy. Here is my story in a timeline. 2001 - had unprotected sex with a random girl at a party. I started stressing immediately about HIV and got tested at 3 week - HIV, other STDs negative. I felt though that I was sick all the time and even saw white plaques on my tongue, which I assumed was thrush. 2002- After malaise that lasted several months, I tested HIV negative at 6 months.
2005 or early 2006. Had another encounter with an internet woman- unprotected sex unfortunately.
2006 - tingling sensations in my feet hands. Sensations gone after about 1 month.
2006- Noticed dark spots on bottom of my feet and one raised dark spot on my leg above ankle that I am convinced looks like Kaposi's sarcoma.
2008 - Noticed onset of blurred vision
2009 - blurred vision worse, burning sensation in both legs, white coating on tongue, slight pain on that spot on the leg above ankle and slight pain on armpit nodes that comes and goes. No LN swelling noticeable. HIV test (ELISA) negative. Random blood glucose ok. at Drs. office (not fasting); complete blood count  is normal.
My problem is that these symptoms are common in later HIV cases so I can't stop stressing that it may be HIV which was never caught. What do you think? Thank you.

You are HIV negative. Seek professional mental help as to why you can't accept your negative results. Use condoms for anal and vaginal sex and you won't find yourself in this position.

You reliably tested negative for HIV. In fact you did so at 6 months whereas a negative result at 3 months would have been sufficient for a reliable result.

Whatever is going on with you physically has nothing to do with HIV. Instead of self-diiagnosing yourself you need to be talking with  you doctor to sort things out.

This is not an HIV situation. Period.

And as Rod mentioned, you need to remember to always use condoms for vaginal and anal intercourse. No exceptions.

Cheers.
