Hello all,

Around 3 months ago I went to a strip club and got 3 lapdances from 3 different women. They were full contact nude lapdances. This being my first time at a strip club I ended up pre-cumming twice. The pre-cum surfaced to my jeans as I was wearing very thin underwear and the grinding was quite intense.

Next morning I noticed that I had slightly bruised the tip of my penis's foreskin due to the lapdance. There was no noticeable blood but definitely the skin was irritated a lot. This "wound" healed within the next two days.

Based on this story I have a couple of questions:
a) How likely is it that the stripper's vaginal fluids could have made their way through my jeans to my penis?
b) Does this bruise on my penis put me at added risk?
c) Could the strippers fluids have combined with my precum and made inside my system?

I got myself tested for a bunch of STDs and they came back negative. I went for HIV test at the 32 day mark and it was also negative. I am awaiting my results for the 12 week test now, how likely is it that it might be positive?

Just so you know, I built up a lot of unusual symptoms however, including fever within 5 days, nastiest sore throat that lasted almost 2 months, painful neck (possibly swollen lymph nodes), night sweats etc and thats what has really freaked me out.

Getting a lapdance with your jeans on is not a risk for a single sexually transmitted infection known to man and certainly not hiv.

You have not had a risk for hiv infection by any stretch of the imagination. No risk.

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together. To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex with a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through all three condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST OVER A LAPDANCE, Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results. Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Thanks for replying Ann. You guys do a great job of calming others nerves down.

Right now I am extremely scared, my results shall come back within the next day or two and I seem not to have the courage to go out there and get them. I am fearing the worst but praying for the best.

Do you not think that there was even the tiniest of risk?

 I also might have touched my crotch area and scratched my acne a little. Do you think that that could be a way of transmisison? I know I am being too picky here but words are very reassuring. Thanks

Ann is correct. You were never at risk. HIV is not transmitted in that fashion. NO RISK and you wasted your money on a test.

I realise I probably am negative, but stress and anxiety make you feel otherwise
Anyway, at this point it seems only a negative result will bring normalcy in my life.

By the way can anyone tell me how reliable my 32 day negative test actually is?
I am going tommorow or day after to get my results. Pray for me plz

Test anytime you want, you didn't have a risk and you'll continue to get a negative result.

Hey all I had a exposure a couple of months ago. I had gotten sick after it (swollen nodes...fever...nasty sore throat...the whole 9) and started to think that I might have become HIV+. I got myself tested (ELISA) exactly 32 days after the exposure and it came out negative. That put me at a lot of relief. However, I still wasnt satisfied so I got another test done last week (11 week mark) and am awaiting results. So I have a few questions to ask.....
a) How good is my 32 day negative?
b) Would my 11 week be as good as conclusive since I had a small exposure?

I am scared of going and getting my results as well. Lot of tension has built up inside me....and I keep asking what if this...what if that....any suggestions to overcome that?

Hey guys I am yet awaiting my 12 week result. But I have soooo much anxiety built up in me. I am just so worried what if it comes out.....So can anyone help me in overcoming this?

Being a virgin and a religious person I am so ashamed I've put myself at this risk. Btw, I ask you all again, how good is my 32 negative and how much assurance can I derive from it? Thanks a lot.

You're letting your guilt overwhelm your common sense. Now listen up.

You do not have HIV. You do not need to test. You cannot contract HIV from a fully clothed lapdance.

HIV is transmitted in these ways:

1. Unprotected anal sex;
2. Unprotected vaginal sex;
3. Sharing contaminated injecting equipment such as needles and syringes;
4. In certain cases from HIV positive mother to unborn child.

None of these things apply to you, therefore your 32 day negative test is accurate. You don't have HIV and you don't need to test any further.

Now if you're suffering from religious guilt I suggest you speak to your priest/pastor/rabbi/imam -- whichever applies.
