maintaining the perfect stubble

How do you do it?

I have 2 beard/hair grooming contraptions with all the attachments, but neither of them are working for keeping the beard at a good stubble length.

Any suggestions?

I've not cleanly shaven my face for the past six years.  Mine grows out fairly full and quite even so I only need to clean up a little with a regular electric hair clipper.  I used to have one of those smaller ones marketed just for facial hair but found them not to work very well.  Trial and error has led me to strongly advocate the Andis® Trend Setter.

i can grow a full-on beard all man-style in just a couple of days.  all except for the area connecting beard to scalp.  that's bald as a baby's butt.  consequently, i can't do burns.  if i try, i just get little hair squares that don't reach up all the way.  i would have to stipple in the empty places.

i'll never be able to capture to 90210 look.

Mine grows in slow..so I shave once on Sunday. Sometimes if work (like I have any) on Wednesdays. Keeps me pretty well going. But im a ummm slow grower when it comes to facial hair. I do have a groomer to but I rarly have to use it.

If your beard doesn't reach the hair, you could grow your hair a little longer till it reaches the beard. Perhaps some hair extensions might do the trick?

THunter: I didn't realize you could grow a beard. I'm remembering you to have one of those clean, soft-as-a-babys-butt cheeks. Huumm. Musta been the soft eyes.

I used to have a full beard for many years.  Then it started to turn grey, and I shaved it all off except for the moustache.  Oddly, no one seemed to notice or comment.  However, when I shaved off my moustache, people noticed and were shocked.   

Now I remain clean-shaved, and keep my grey hair up on the top of my head where it belongs.  No "Just for Men" or "Nice 'n Easy" for me.      I'm not such a big fan of stubble on other guys -- one way or the other, please.
