Very sweet and touching story.....

This is a very touching story. This group has always been one of the most important part of any Gay Pride for me and now I know the story behind its beginning.

I was just reading about this earlier and watched the video.  Its always nice to learn new things.  i'm always struck on how things get started.   Sounds like a nice, wonderful lady.

I've always heard of PFLAG, but never knew the history behind it.

We are so fortunate that this group already existed at the beginning of the AIDS crisis.  We were thrust from a "I'd rather my son be dead than gay" era to one where their wishes were coming true.  I remember one of her speeches shortly after Mortie died and indicated that she had to continue on in his memory.

What an incredible lady (as was her husband).
