Got poked in the butt today.
« on: May 31, 2008, 07:06:41 am »
First ever anal test thingy today since I got the HPV + HIV and my 2nd ever labs on meds today.  I had a lot of questions for the doc and he goes, "What have you been reading again?!!" Heh Heh. He knows I spend a little too much time online reading about everything still.  We'll see how my labs end up with the regimen change and all...whee! My doc always calms my anxiety and makes me in a better mood after I see him. I dedicate this post to Phillimina.

Hmmm, did you enjoy the poke in the butt?  ::)

My doc is starting to make noises about me having a bit of a checky uppy in the posterior region.

In my case, they are talking colonoscopy. Something to do with being above that magic age of 50.

So, what did your doc say about things? All is well, I hope??

HUGS,

I knew this was your thread from title alone. Poked in the butt today, eh?  So what's new?

How's your little pooper?  We need updates (or is Philly would say...closure).

Though I'm sure closure is hard to come by when it comes to your butt.   :P

love you!   :-*

And here I thought this was going to be something really erotic.

Yeah.  I'm sure that's what Staley was thinking when he trolled in here earlier.  Only the word "porn" could have lured him faster.   ;D

geesh, i was hoping for something really erotic too!!! ahh, me likey the way betty & the others think.

shadow, when will you get the results back? did you have a pap smear? i have hpv also and the only thing i got was a laser  :o
so, are they going to do a culture and provide you with some info? my gp really doesnt know what to do with me. i think im his only poz patient. i also may be his only openly gay patient. anyhow, after i found the lil fuckers i had to drive to la and get them lasered off. a couple months later i had colonscopy but i don't remember what the dr told me, i was too fucked from the twilight sleep and his note had one word - fine (or something to that nature). did you request a specific test? hoping for the best.

You should go to AHF in LA. You're in LA right? They are great and I don't pay a cent cuz they have people that can enroll you in ADAP and Ryan White there.  I used to go to the one in Bev Hills...but I go to the one in redondo....which is closer to me.   They are doing a pap smear and I'm getting the results this week.  No I didn't request a specific test.  I guess it's part of their yearly physical exam.  I've had 2 ass doctors refuse to give me an anal pap cuz it's not "a standard practice in the field." Weird right? I love AHF.  They ship me my meds for free.

thanks shadow, great info. i will ask my dr for an anal pap smear. i have him beat into submission - he never tells me no. yup, i am attracted to the indian man, good lord we have a fierce relationship : ).

so, did they just swab you and go? if my dr says no i'll definitely role out your way. hiv and hpv, talk about double disclosure. also, i don't live in la, im an hour east in the inland empire. let us know the results of your lab.

ill probably have to pay out of pocket. wait, i dunno, last time i checked i was at the adap borderline!!! too bad they dont calculate that shit on net income. lastly, you going to weho pride?
