Title: im a donkey
Post by: jimjimmerson on October 26, 2006, 04:54:38 pm
i recently was on vacation, met a hooker in a blackout drunken state, she took me to this sketchy looking motel room place with in walking distance and offered to give me head for 10$, i immediately agreed and she put a condom on and started performing oral sex.  we soon realized i was so drunk that any attempt at getting me off was useless...i took the condom off and on my penis head was a red liquid, looked like blood ... in the condom too, not a lot like a few drops.  i was like what the f*ck is that?  and she immediately was like you go now baby, you go ...and i left cause she looked all scared suddenly and i really didn't want to find out that this person had a penis.  I didn't pay her, didn't really think about it till the next day.  looked around as i was leaving for the condom wrapper laying around and did NOT see it anywhere.  started surfing the net for symptoms, within 12 hours i had them all except rash and fever.  hands going numb, weird pain in fingers, diahrea, head ache, severe body aches, weird shooting pains in my knuckles, abdominal cramping, pain in my groin, general feeling of discomfort...couldn't sit down, couldn't stand up, couldn't go for a walk, couldn't lay down.  this site along with dr. hhh's has been the only ray of hope for me.  since looking at these two sites i'm 99% sure the answer youre gonna give me is sucessful transmission takes place INSIDE the body, you had no risk and all this is one giant coincidence mixed in with extreme guilt and anxiety.  well it would just make my day to actually hear you say that cause i cant find a post thats similar to this one.  it's now been exactly 5 weeks and i still have two swollen nodes which were the only two swollen the entire time (one on my neck, one below my clavicle) all other symptoms are gone.
i know it sounds shady BUT....is it possible that this woman was hiv positive, bled herself into a condom, waited for some drunk dumbass to come along, put it on me, blood came into contact with my urethra and now im infected?

thanks alot this site and your service is awesome

jim,

Getting a blowjob is not a risk for hiv infection, no matter what sort of spin you want to put on it. It sounds like the condom was a flavoured one. Nothing more, nothing less.

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL STIs together. To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with a sexually transmitted infection.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results. Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

IF it was blood, and I doubt that it was, it was likely your own since you were wearing a condom. In any case, all of the different details and mostly WHAT IFS that you come up with still doesn't change that it was a blowjob, and no one has ever gotten infected from getting one of those. Never. And you ain't gonna be the first.

So take a breath and let go of this concern. You have no basis in HIV science for any further worrying.

Cheers,
