I found out I was poz in August 2008, I read some of your posts and I think we have similar numbers. Last test I had CD4: 412 and VL: 9K

Not on meds yet either, but maybe soon. You should be fine as far as MRSA, the stuff they will give you at the hospital is strong and should be able to knock it out so don't worry.

Slowly but surely you'll feel better about having HIV. Don't stress yourself out because in the long run that in itself (the stress) can be harmful. I had a MRSA about a year and a half ago, before I knew I had HIV, although, in retrospect, I probably already had it. I got treatment, it went away and about a year later is when I found out about the HIV and I had over 600 Tcells so I was still ok. My point is that the MRSA is not necessarily going to screw up your immune system.

You are fortunate that you have found out about the HIV early enough and you seem to have access to health care so you should be able to manage it well. When was the last time you had your HIV bloodwork done? Do you know when you will have another set of numbers done?

hullo ,
MRSA is how i found out i had  AIDS !   how nice !

That was  5 years ago , and all is WELL  , I did have it once more .................

The doctors gave me medicine , makes me ill ...............

But  I am doing very well !

Do NOT worry about the  MRSA  ,the doctors treat it . it goes away . no lasting effects !

I hope  you are doing OK , things will  get back to normal after a while !

                                                 the best to you ,
                                                                           Carl
