Trip to the zoooo!
« on: October 03, 2007, 09:13:06 am »
So, me and my mom took a trip to the zoo last Saturday. It was really fun. It was just a small local zoo (the Lehigh Valley Zoo), but they have great animals there and it's on a game preserve and they're all well-taken care of.

So, I brought Wombat (the wombat that Matty got me a whileeee ago) because they have a large amount of Australian animals there and I thought he would enjoy himself. ;D.

Pictures!

Here is a picture of me and Wombat together because none of the other pictures have me in it. =P. This is before we left.

This parrot was made of win. My mom spent like 20 minutes trying to get it to say hello and it was utterly silent. She finally got frustrated, started to walk away and shouted, "GoodBYE!" and without missing a beat, the parrot responded, "Bye-bye!"

Otters are fun. There were three but I couldn't get them all in a picture.

Ponies! I was about 30lbs too heavy to ride one but they were nice to look at. =P

Kangaroos!

Wombat wanted a picture with them.

Wombat wanted a picture with the emus too, which we saw a moment later.

Ostrich!

Then we got lunch. =D.

Hi Jaser,

We have a Red Tail and a Harris hawk that live on our property during the winter.  This winter, the Harris hawk didn't return, so I trust he is doing well on some other part of the planet.  Unfortunately, way too many hawks are being killed because of poisonous chemicals that are being used on crops and on gardens, and we see less and less each year.  This really disturbs us, as we know the outcome of this unfortunate scenario.  Also, bees this year are in terribly short supply, so much so that the tomatoes didn't do shit.  Our sage plants are drawing a fair amount of bees, but not nearly as many as just a few years ago.  They are dying from a contagious viral infection.  Hmmmmmm, sounds familiar somehow.

Looks like your trip to the zoo was fun and you saw a load of animals.  Sometime when you get ahead financially, come on out and I'll take you to an African Preserve in the Arizona desert.

Love,
The Bible contains 6 admonishments to homosexuals,
and 362 to heterosexuals.
This doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals,
It's just that they need more supervision.

Oh, you're in the Lehigh Valley?  For some reason I thought you were in the opposite part of PA than I was.  You could come to Philly for a visit.

I feel like I'm back in high school on a field trip! Which is pretty cool actually!  ;D

Thanks for sharing the pics.

I've been here all my life, unfortunately. And I'm in Philly all the time on tranny and health business. Idk if you're familiar with the Mazzoni Center or not, but they kick ass.

Rob Winn at Mazzoni is the doctor who will be doing my upcoming Sculptra injections for my lipo face :)  Very, very nice man when I spoke to him on the phone.  Do you go to Mazzoni for all of your health stuff?  I know they're tops with the trans community, though I think a fair amount go where I go to which is close to Mazzoni.  I go to Lax Center on Locust b/tw 12th and 13th for my HIV care, and I'm very happy with it.

I am pretty goddamn sure that's the same guy that prescribed my testosterone for me/helped me with my first shot because that name sound so familiar. When I first started going to them I was originally going to transfer everything over to them (trans stuff and hiv stuff) but decided the distance was too much of an issue, even though they are made of so much win and I wish I lived closer because I never had a better experience as far as health stuff.

The only other person there I have experience with is Susan Collins, and I'm pretty sure she only works with trans patients, but she's sweet. In fact, everyone there is amazing. I could gush about the Mazzoni Center for hours though so I'm just going to stop.
