Disappearing for awhile
« on: February 24, 2007, 05:54:23 pm »

Hey, just a quick word out to y'alls that I'll be offline for the next two weeks (maybe longer given the househunt) while I drive from Washington, D.C. to Portland, Oregon for the next challenge in my career. I have had such a wonderfully special week, with so many friends and colleagues saying good-bye in very touching ways. I tell you - it made me want to be alive to see my own funeral! You really don't always realize how much people care until you're leaving.

Anyway, I hope that everyone takes care in the meantime, and know that I'm still thinking about and wondering what's happening on these boards! I'll post some pictures from the journey when I'm back online again.

Take care everyone.

Hey Chaplin, what a heart-warming story... thanks for letting us know!

I hope you find yourself a lovely house and the career change is just enough of a challenge to make it fun, but not too stressful. Good luck and safe journey!
