Title: Coming along...
Post by: Bartro on August 05, 2006, 09:09:27 pm
Life is slowly returning to normal.  I received new lab values after three months of treatment.  I feel fine.  Haven't missed a day of work.  Thank you all for your support!

4/24/06 Tested HIV+ with thrombocytopenia (very low blood platelets)

4/28/06  VL 40,800 CD4 339 17%, Platelets 10,000   Started Truvada & Sustiva & Received IVIG Therapy

5/05/06 Platelets  26,000

6/01/06 VL 181, CD4 342 19%, Platelets 27,000

8/04/06 VL undetectable (yay), CD4 301 20%, Platelets 31,000, Liver, kidney function tests normal, cholesterol 115.

8/05/06 Sigh of relief...

Hello Barto, it is Eldon. Your percentage went up and that is a good thing. Remember to take your meds as prescribed by your doctor, eat healthy and get plenty of rest.

Thank you all for your encouragement.  It's been the most difficult time in my life.  It's all of you that make things a little easier..

Hey Rusty....

                  Not to worry...we've all been there.  Glad to hear you're doing better.  The power of positive thinking is a powerful thing........of course taking your meds, exercise and good food help too.  {{{{{ BIG HUG }}}}}
