I am extremely scared that I may have contrated HIV????
« on: October 12, 2009, 09:42:34 pm »
Okay so I did a really really really really stupid thing the other day. September 21st to be exact. I was invited to a gay sex party. there were a couple of guys there. Now this is what happened. Guy "A" was kissing Guy "B". Then Guy A gave Guy B oral sex. I was watching all of this. (I will refer to myself in the first person "me"). Then Guy B began to fuck guy A. They where having sex without a condom. Then Guy A, while getting done in the behind, asks me to whip my penis out so he can suck me off. I do so. While he sucks me off i finger him briefly while Guy B's penis is still inside Guy A's anus. We stop after 5 minutes  and then I go over to a different guy, Guy "C" and let him suck me off to. Guy C is an older black male. This went on for maybe less than 5 minutes. Then Afterwards very BRIEFLY deep kiss with Guy A again(my tongue never goes inside his mouth), and I don't recall him having any semen in his mouth. . and that was it. 9 days later i develop a sore throat and a little bit of fatigue  and a headache. Then about 3 weeks later (which is today) i develop muscle and joint/bone aches as well as abdominal pain. and I am totally freaking out!!!! My question is what was my risk for contracting HIV and are my symptoms related to ARS and/or other common post-exposure symptoms????? As of right now I still have a sore throat (have had it for 10 days now since it started out as a scratch in my throat) and yesterday was the first time feeling all those minor aches and pains all around my bones and joins and they don't stop!!!!!! if its not in my elbow its in my toes or in my knee joint. and abdominal pain as well. Also feeling a bit fatigued and a slight headache. Also, i have a sore upper back. I tested at 15 days after the suspected exposure and the results were negative. I will test again at the 6 week mark and again at the 3rd month mark. I am scared that maybe the guys that sucked me off would have infected precum in their mouth from sucking off a HIV+ guy and then entered my penis through the opening. They where fucking bareback so I assume they are HIV+. I don't remember having any nicks or cuts on my finger or in my mouth. I have been so tense with anxiety for the past week now!! Can someone please answer my questions????? I feel like Im dying every day with out knowing my status.

Curse,

So all you did was got your dick sucked and engaged in a bit of kissing? Neither are risks for hiv infection. Not only is saliva not infectious, but it also contains over a dozen different proteins and enzymes that damage hiv and render it unable to infect.

If you feel unwell, see a doctor.

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together. To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through all three condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST OVER GETTING BLOWN OR KISSING, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results. Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

Well yeah but by two different guys who may have had infected precum in their mouth by which would allow for HIV to infect me through the tip of my penis. I mean are my symptoms not related to ARS or similar to those experienced by people who have been exposed to HIV??

Curse,

It doesn't matter if they had precum or anything else in their mouths. Getting a blowjob is not a risk for hiv infection, end of story.

Your symptoms could be attributed to any one of hundreds of illnesses. They are in no way hiv-specific. If you feel unwell, see a doctor. It's nothing to do with hiv.
