Come on you little pumpkins! Let's see if you know.
If no one posts correctly, the answer will be given tomorrow.

It is a cardiac stent.
Edit: When I looked it up it is technically the Edwards Sapien transcatheter heart valve.

GSO,
My goodness! I did not even have time to polish all the buzzers!

The father of one of my coworkers had an endovascular repair of an abdominal aortic aneurysm today, so it was on my mind. I haven't heard how the procedure went yet.
-
I thought it was a homemade napkin ring! :D
I would have expected a cardiac thingy to be more medical looking.
OK Tampa dear, give us another one! :)
-
I thought it was a Tiny King's Crown.
added: cock ring was my second guess... ;)
-
Since I guessed the last one I'll submit the next. What is this?

Yep, ye old rotary engine. that fad lasted two minutes.

Since proper usage of the item in the the first post ensures whether one is dead or alive....
What is this?

There is a hint, if you know how to read between the lines.

It's the new disclosure device for pozzums, tested on the recently "confirmed as still living with teh AIDS" Berlin patient.
Available at Wal-mart for $19.99.
And no (Ann), I will not provide links to substantiate these facts.

Sorry to disappoint both you and the Rev, but that little item I posted is a device meant to protect oneself from contracting teh AIDS when indulging in frottage with another person and both of you happen to be topless.
It prevents your nipples from rubbing against the other person's nipples, as that is a route of transmission for teh AIDS.

Yall shouldn't be making fun of those poor folks in the AM I forum . Hypochondria is a serious disease , I know because my Aunt died from Hypochondria 6 times and used up all her monopoly money treating it .

ROFLMAO!!!!! ;D I can see how especially the closeted Republicans would like this.

I like the "My First Buttplug" kit, but it's:
The Womb Battery of 1890 was claimed to cure all manner of feminine ills by electrification of the uterus. Made of dissimilar metals, it decomposed inside the woman, producing a small electric current. Any curative powers were likely due to the poisonous effects of copper and silver metal salts on any bacteria and yeast that might be present.

Oh yeah! I saw this thing on this program called Oddities on the Science Channel. It's a reality show about a couple in NYC who own and run a rather unique antiques shop. On a different episode they showed something similar, but it was a prostate stimulator.
Ok, here's an image. Guess what it is.
Clue: it is not some mediæval instrument of torture.

Jugum penis, United Kingdom, 1880-1920
Guaranteed to bring tears to the eyes of at least half our readers, this device was intended as a treatment for "nocturnal incontinence" and to prevent masturbation. It was designed to deter nighttime emissions by causing enough pain to waken the sleeper if an erection threatened.
Until relatively recently, masturbation was considered a moral weakness and at least partly responsible for a whole range of debilitating medical conditions. Now there is some suggestion that the opposite may be true: frequent self-pleasuring could protect against prostate cancer.
It is slightly similar to this one:

Answer:
"...Usually a Rose symbolizes beauty, love and passion. The thorns are a reminder that love can also be painful. For example, there may be sharp disagreements, separation, disloyalty, and other hurtful events.
Another, related meaning is warmth of personality, compassion..."
In other words, the Rose symbolizes what we do in Life.

No. But it is a machine. Another hint, it use water.

It is at the bottom of that link. I've would have guessed washing machine or camera. I assume that it is peddled powered. I was thinking if I could make an air conditioner out of ice and a fan or at least that what they use to do in the 40's and 50's. The heat in NYC is over the top. I wonder how do people stay cool without one? hummmm....

That looks like an old box of SRA (http://www.mcgraw-hill.co.uk/sra/rl_index.html) reading materials that I used in elementary school as part of an advanced reading program. The things on the right are the booklets you'd read, and the smaller cards on the left contain questions you had to answer after reading. I don't think the ones in use today look quite like that though.
No love lost for it? If I'm right about what it is, I absolutely loved it. :)
-
Is it a set of Richard Simmons deal a meal cards ?
-
Right you are, it is the SRA. I did not like it much for I had readings problems and the teachers would just leave me alone to read the little cards as the rest of the class did other stuff. I guessed if use correctly, it would help kids to read.

That antic has a hand crank. Makes me think some poor house slave sat there sweating over it to give relief to the "ladies". Reminds me of that early scene in Gone With the Wind when all the ladies are napping and the slaves are fanning them.

Thought so. As soon as I set eyes on it, it took me back to my first grade classroom reading corner. My school used it in the opposite way to yours. It was kids who had a more advanced reading level who were sat in the corner with it so the teacher could spend more one-on-one teaching time with kids who were struggling. Sounds like your school wasn't really using it as it was intended or to its best advantage, which is shame.
edited to add... The only reason I was at an advanced reading level was thanks to my elderly uncle who lived with us when I was small. Every day he would sit me on his lap for hours while he read the newspaper (or sometimes books) aloud to me while he ran his finger under the text he was reading. (He always did that regardless.) I gradually picked more and more up and was reading by the time I was three. I'll always love my Uncle Willy for giving me such a love of reading at such a young age. I still miss him and he's been gone for over 40 years.

Yeah, I felt isolated and alone where upon when my mommy found out what they did she made a big fuss about how they left me alone. Oh yeah, she burned their ears off. I guess they did not know how to use it and I was the experiment chosen to see if it worked. I do remember it had something to do with advance student learning, but I did not read much in those days because of my dyslexia; no one knew what that was in the 60's. I would read a sentence or two then quit because my eyes and head would ache and it was too painful to continue. But I am better now and when I tutor students, I better understand their problems and help them over come it.
