DEFINITION OF BRAVE
A TOWN HALL FOR LONG TERM AIDS SURVIVORS ON RESILIENCE & RENEWAL
WEDNESDAY • SEPTEMBER 18 2013 • 7-9 PM
SAN FRANCISCO LBGT CENTER RAINBOW ROOM
1800 MARKET ST • SAN FRANCISCO (at OCTAVIA)
FREE and GRASSROOTS

Because surviving since the early days took courage and compassion. We exhibited strengths we didn’t know we had. It’s time to come together again to face midlife and aging. This free, grassroots forum is the first to shine a spotlight on survivors. Those hit hardest by the AIDS epidemic have valuable lessons to teach our community and the world about living and survival.

Sponsored by: Let's Kick (ASS) AIDS Survivor Syndrome and The Community Initiative

This event will be moderated by Tez Anderson Panelists will include Will Boemer; Gregg Cassin; Michael Siever; Ramon Martinez, PsyD

If any of you have any suggestions for topics I'd love to hear them. We are discussing issues about being positive for two decades or longer and more importantly what life is like now and how we see our future.

Thank you.

Cheers,
Tez Anderson (Poz since 1983!)

Shoot! I'll be visiting SF in October, so I'll miss this. Are there any similar or spin-off events for LTS I might be interested in? My diagnosis was in SF in 1989.

Moxie,

Right now this is the only one I've got planned but if it goes well. I hope we can do others. I see this as a beginning of conversation. But I'll post here or on LetsKickASS.org when I have the next one. You can also follow me on @AIDSsurvivors on Twitter.

I have been having ideas about small groups across the world  , gaining extra strength and authority by working under the same banner.

I look forward to reading and contributing , to this  thread.

Theyer,

I'm getting messages from folks other cities who are interested in hosting similar events. I've heard from folks in Australia, Ireland and several cities in the US. After the event I'll post a wrap up of the night, my planning notes and video of the event on LetsKickASS.org. I believe exchanging info will help all of us, because we have so much in commons with each other as survivors. If you have any questions please ask them here of email me at LetsKickASS.org@gmail.com. I may not reply till after the event but I will immediately after. Thanks for your support.

Cheers,
Tez Anderson
