Cialis has been great but about out now what
« on: April 01, 2016, 09:16:39 pm »
Hey everyone so I've been taking Cialis on and off since late last year when my psychiatrist prescribed it to me for erection issues due to anxiety and depression medication which simply would not get better. I had no sex life any more and my confidence was in the toilet. But Cialis saved my sex life, gave me my confidence back, made me feel 18 again, and allowed me to date again. I got the free trial bottle of 30 5mg pills in October, and have managed to make them last as long as I could. Now I am down to one pill left lol. My question is, I know you can only get the free trial once a year, so I'd have to wait til October 2016 to get another bottle. I have Medicaid and Ryan White. My doc wrote me a round of refills for Cialis, but I'd probably have to pay a lot of out pocket. I think somewhere it said 80 dollars?

I am going to see the prescribing doc again who I have a great rapport with, and ask him about this. I did manage to have sex once without Cialis and did fine, but I definitely notice a major lack of ability overall when not taking it. After extensive blood work and tests, the doctor concluded that my lack of ability to keep an erection is due to the medication I have to take for my mental health, and therefore Cialis has been a godsend.

I will ask if there is any way to like get maybe individual tablets of it, or if not, maybe try Viagra but with that free trial I think you only get like 5 tablets. Which is better than nothing lol. So since I haven't used a Viagra free trial yet, I may ask my doc if I can try that.

These pills really are a miracle and have done more to help my self esteem along with me working out again and getting in shape. I'm just hoping I can find some way to make it until either they come out with a generic Cialis or when my next eligible free trial cialis starts in October. Any suggestions/comments/experience are welcomed!

I will be working full time soon, so will be able to pay for a refill if it isn't over a hundred dollars, I won't pay more than 80 for a bottle and that is way way too much in my opinion.

Going to bump this. Upon further research it appears that without insurance coverage which most insurance companies don't cover male enhancement drugs which is bullshit because it is in fact a mental health issue because not being able to perform can be very mentally disturbing. Seems that out of pocked a bottle of Cialis 5mg 30 pills is around 150.00. I wouldn't pay that for nothing. Way too much. So guess for Cialis I'll have to wait until October when I get another free trial supply.

I may look at Levitra and Viagra though I think Viagra has a free trial for 10 pills.
I know there's the online option, but I'm scared to buy something non-FDA tested from some * country like India.

I have a boyfriend and we are doing great and have a fulfilling fun sex life and I want to make sure I have some backup plan.

I'm not sure too many proud Indians consider their country a '*' Robby...

And whilst I do understand that buying meds over the internet is a risk which I'm certainly not encouraging, I am sure that some of the main labs in India who make generics are as clean and good as the labs in the US or elsewhere.

Well I was speaking in terms of buying meds online from countries that aren't up to FDA standards. I just think that seems very risky. I am going to ask my doctor he's always very frank so I'll see if I have any other free trial options Viagra or Levitra and if so I'll try those, if not, I'll ask about any natural over the counter supplements, btw, does anyone know any that have similar effects to male enhancement meds?

If not, I'll probably look into trying generic Cialis from online and going that route.

On the bright side, apparently a generic version of Viagra will be coming out in 2017, yayyyyyy!! About time.

I haven't tried poppers in several years, never used them frequently but they definitely help. I may give them another try lol. I know not to use them with any male enhancement med, but when I run out of Cialis unless I find an alternative, I'll give poppers another go.

Well I'm sure the main labs in India making the generics are up to FDA standards. The risk when buying online is whether you are actually getting something from those labs or not...

Yes, you can get fakes from bad sources and scam websites online, but you're coming off as ignorant, racist, and offensive.

Dr Reddy and many other Indian companies mfg the generics you buy at your US pharmacy.  Same as any other mfgs, they have to address FDA compliance issues from time to time.

But as someone who has been to India and works with Indians, referring to it as a "** country" reflects poorly on you and is certainly contrary to the sort of discussions this site tries to have.

Robby whilst i appreciate your concerns of buying medication online, can you please refrain from making any sweeping, offensive and/or intolerant statements about entire nations.

Thank you.

Didn't realize I said anything offensive in asking my question. Was trying to make the point of risk of buying meds online from overseas. But anyway, whatever. Nevermind.

I buy Indian viagra.  Viagra is 15 bucks a pill in Switzerland. I have one source that has always been correct.  I used to buy their cialis, which I preferred over viagra. But suddenly cialis had no effect whatsoever on me, when i went on Isentress Truvada. Doc turned up no reported contraindication but there it is, for me.

My friends also use Asian ED pills. I have 2 friends who bring back ED gel packs from Thailand. They work fine.  Cost peanuts.

Of course its a delicate matter to mail order drugs but finally it has worked out fine for me.

I think I've found a solution! ED has become routine for me  unless I am on some type of ED medication. I found a cheap online site to buy Sildenafil from Canada at a fraction of cost. Can geta handful of pills for quite cheap.

Of course I know unlike with Cialis which I actually tolerated pretty well other than occasional muscle aches, that with the Sildenafil it is much shorter acting so have to plan more accordingly, but hey, fine with me! No worries there. I'm looking forward to trying it!

Robby, the "Canada" located site is most likely selling you Indian products.  Just be aware of that.

So I have found a solution or rather my amazing psychiatrist did! He shared with me once that he had suffered from ED also, and was great in getting me the free trial of Cialis which worked great but is now run out. He told me about this medication called revatio which is basically the generic of sildenafil. It's ostensibily for pulmonary hypertension, but can be used the same as viagra for ed. My doc said he gets tons of complaints from other male patients about ED while on anti depressants or anti anxiety meds. He gave me a medical assistance card and wrote me a script for 20mg revatio/sildenafil. I got it filled at kroger only cost me like 20 bucks. For 10 pills. Of course unlike with cialis there's a shorter window like 4-8 hours, so I'll have to plan that but hey that's fine with me. And best of all I don't have to worry about ordering pills from foreign countries which may have unknown indgredients in them. I'm just thrilled to have a solution to my ed thanks to my doc! Just goes to show how good a proactive doctor can be!

Not strictly true....

Sildenafil is the active drug.
Viagra and Revatio are both brand names used by the same company (Pfizer). Both have the same active ingredient (Sildenafil).

Well I'm just glad my doctor is a creative thinker and understands how important sexual function is to mental health! The script he wrote me said Revatio but the bottle I got says Sildenafil which he told me will work the same as Viagra. So basically I got generic Viagra at a fraction of the cost! Well took my last Cialis today, after stretching out a free trial bottle I got last year. Overall I was happy with it, got me hard, gave me back a decent sex life, but I noticed that it began to not give me as hard of erections as when I first started taking it. At first I'd take 5mg and that would be fine but now I'd have to take 10mg for me to have a reliable erection.

I am now going to start the Sildenafil and see how that works. I got a generic form of it, 20mg a pill, so I'll take one pill and see how that works. I began to notice with the Cialis that I'd take it, and would feel nothing for an hour or two, and then get a couple of decent erections, even if I was turned on, but not nearly as reliably hard as when I first started cialis.

I'll just have to remember that I have to take the Sildenafil right around the window of sex, but I like that I can take it as needed. Just really curious to see how it differs from cialis if at all. Personally I prefer an ED medication that is more potent, that acts faster, shorter, and is more reliable, than a longer lasting one. Cialis gave me some great erections, but the medication seemed to peak after I got through half a bottle, then I noticed they weren't quite as frequent or solid. Hoping sildenafil is a bit more predictable.

The Sildenafil will probably give you a bit of a flushed face and slight congestion around 20 mins after taking, which you may not have observed on Cialis. I have found this as a reassuring thing as you know it's working.

I've tended to find the side effects of Sildenafil were more noticable than Cialis too (mild headache principally), but that could be to do with the smaller active window for it. Make sure you are hydrated as this I think contributes. It could also be dosage dependent. I've never taken less than 50mg, and I note you are starting on 20mg so may not be as acute.

Thanks for the tips! I got severe muscle aches in the lower back and legs with Cialis when I first started, and I still got headaches on it all the way through, but the muscle aches disappeared. I just got frustrated because cialis seemed to lose it's effects after a few months. Just didn't get rock hard, reliable erections on it, even when taking 5.5mg.
Oddly, I'd notice better erections the following day than on the actual day of taking it. And it seemed to take forever to kick in. But initially, it gave me some great times lol.
Just seemed to lose it's potency as the weeks went on. I definitely got a flushed face with it, and feeling hot and stuff, that usually happened a couple hours after taking the cialis. My main gripe was that cialis seemed to wear off after a few weeks, not sure if this is the body getting used to or what, but I know some people just react differently to different medications.

I'm a young guy, 34, but I still am having major problems keeping a solid erection during sex. Without ED meds, I wouldn't even attempt sex.

I know with sildenafil I'll have to plan for a shorter window, which is good actually for me because I like predictability. I'll start off with the 20mg and see how that works. My main thing is I want a solid, rock hard erection, it doesn't even matter if it takes me longer to cum lol.

The window isn't that tiny. I know the '6hr' thing is oft quoted, but I found improved performance often lasted into the next day.

I've found that performance on any of these drugs, after a while, becomes less guaranteed - but I've also found that other factors can severely influence whether they work well or not. If I have a large meal before taking, or even a light meal after taking, it doesn't work so well. If I have a lot to drink it doesn't work too well (ditto other recreational drugs). So, best thing is don't eat too much or get smashed out of your face whilst on it, and you should be ok :)

The patent on Sildenafil expired in Australia about a year ago. Within a week, the price of brand name Viagra dropped from $76 AUD fro 4 to $12 AUD. There are also some other brands competing for a share of the market.

I'm not sure when the patent will expire where you are.

Took first Sildenafil the other day. It worked well. Took effect pretty quick. Did the job  ;)
Didn't have any side effects, although some hours later I noticed a kind of euphoric sensation, not the typical post-sex buzz, but different. Just this unexplainable euphoric sensation. Lasted several hours, was very peculiar, though not unpleasant. Kind of like an anti-depressant type effect. Didn't get any of the severe muscle aches or headaches that I got with Cialis. The erection I got on Sildenafil was good, it seemed pretty much similar to Cialis, just without all the nasty side effects I got on cialis. So far so good. I took 20mg of it.

I'm a bit confused. I always thought sildenafil only came in 25mg, 50mg and 100mg dosages. Viagra certainly does.

If there is a form of 20mg sildenfil then I think I'd need two of them!

I had a bad experience a couple of months back when I bought sildenafil through a "Canadian" pharmacy.
The price was good, and they shipped the order within a few days, but about a week later I got a call from the fraud department of my credit union, and they had blocked two large charges to my credit card at a hotel and airline in Europe.
I thought I had done my due diligence in researching the pharmacy, but looking into it further, I found that the pharmacy wasn't Canadian at all, and the website was owned by someone in Moscow.
They issued me a new card, but I know for a fact that it was this transaction that led to the fraudulent activity.

Zach, Robby seems to have found a great workaround with the same molecule prescribed for a different issue at a fraction of the cost?

Of course, cialis is preferred.

So I got script for cialis, the $200 voucher, and I took it to CVS. Their price is $300 for a bottle of meds.

Does anyone know a pharmacy that sells a bottle of 30 pills 5mg for $200 or less?

Pretty disappointed. I'm dating someone, and was looking forward to them

Zach, I used up my once-yearly trial of Cialis, and it worked great for me, but isof course completely too expensive. Be saving with the Cialis if you get the 30 free trial tablets. I got them in the 5mg. They worked great for awhile but later on I needed to take 10mg to have a good reliable effect. I managed to make 30 pills last about 4 months. Once the free trial is used up, you have to wait another year. So I needed an alternative. The same doc who gave me my Cialis trial wrote me a script for Revatio which is generic Sildenafil which is Viagra. So basically prescribing it off-label. He is a very proactive doctor, and being a guy, he reads up on and is very well versed on any ways to treat ED with currently available, affordable meds. I got the script filled and paid like 27 bucks for 10 tablets. He gave me several rounds of refills too. Sildenafil is obviously not in Cialis, so keep that in mind too. But for me, I find that Sildenafil works better than Cialis because it works fast, is reliable, and doesn't have the bad headaches and severe muscle aches Cialis gave me. Talk to your doc and see if that's an option. I get good reliable boners and being a top, this is important ;)
