Title: My First Night With Atripla
Post by: MoltenStorm on September 21, 2006, 10:33:08 am
I posted this in the Atripla thread started by Falkore, but just in case you guys don't re-read old threads, I'm posting it here too. :P

I took my pill at 9pm. I was counting the minutes before as I was a bit nervous about what would happen. At 9:45pm, my body temperature rose. It felt like I was having a hot flash all over. Also, my stomach began feeling "off." It kind of felt like I had gas except I didn't. I fell asleep, and I woke up around 11p to go to the bathroom, and I felt the slightest hint of being dizzy. I went back to bed and had the most incredible dream.

I dreamt that I was in ancient Japan. There were Japanese silks everywhere, and OMG, the colors... were absolutely breathtaking. They were so beautiful! Also, I've never really had sound in my dreams, but in this one, it was like I was sitting in a surround sound theater. When the gong would be hit, I could feel the vibrations and the sound was so full and big.

Today, the only side effect that has lingered in my stomach feeling slightly "off" and a hint of nausea.

If these are the side effects I'm going to experience, Hell, this is a walk in the park. I just pray that I never have a nightmare. LOL Maybe I should start watching porn before going to bed... :P

Porn before bed + Atripla = laundry in the morning :D

Glad to hear you had a favourable experience. Don't sweat having nightmares. They tend to be just as colourful, and as long as you know it's just a dream, enjoy the spectacle of it all.

The dreams are ELECTRIC!  However for me after several  months of them I realized I was NOT getting a DEEP enough sleep, always felt like I was hovering over the restful sleep I needed.  It really took a toll on me so I had to switch to taking it in the morning.  But the dreams  OH MY GOD.... if i could film them I would be RICH!

Am pleased to know of your first experience with Atripla. I haven't started taking anti-retrovirals yet and the thought of their negative side effects can cause some anxiety, but your post has reminded that it doesn't have to be necessarily the case. As to the dreams, wow, I want to have them to.

Regards

gnom

Not cool!  You've not only hijacked Molten's thread (which is very rude and insensitive), you've also come into a Forum that is for HIV+ (friends and family), which you are obviously neither if you're trying to get PEP as a "morning after pill".

Hey guys,

Hey Molten, I hope it is still going well with your Atripla. As for the dreams folks are always talking about, I am somewhat envious.

Well, who knows, maybe one day I'll switch - but not until I need to.

HUGS,

Mark

Glad it's going well Molten.

I haven't had any 'acid dreams'.  I feel so left out.

Onward and upward!

The past few days have been a walk in the park (knocks on wood). The dreams have continued as have the hot flashes, but other than that, I've had no other side effects.

Woohoo!

(hopes this continues)
(had a dream with some FINE FINE FINE ass in it last night)

Hey Molten,

It is good news to hear that you are not experiencing side effects from the meds. It is my hope that it all continues to go well. As for the vivid dreams, enjoy them! It is even better when you realize or wake up in the dream that you can control what goes on in the dreams!

Have the BEST Day!

My "wild ride" of sorts will start tonight -- when I take my first pill! Thanks for giving me a heads up -- maybe I'll wear a kimono to bed, just in case. :)
