Weight loss= Good Stuff!
« on: February 15, 2012, 09:33:09 pm »
For some reason (probably depression) after my diagnosis in 2004, I went from 192 pounds to 223 and just hovered there.  I was put on a lopid, 2 bp meds, Nexium for acid reflux, etc.  I am happy to report that since Sept thanks to eating right and walking 3 miles a day I have lost all of that weight plus a few pounds.  On top of that I am off of all of those meds now!  So much cheaper and feel so much better at 185 pounds which is good for my frame.  It's amazing how some of our ailments..at least in my case, are just due to bad eating habits and lack of exercise.

I'm happy to just be on Atripla, fish oil, vitamin D, and a multivitamin.  Now the battle is to maintain though right now I can't imagine backtracking.  I'm back in 34s and loving it!  For once I can report good news instead of all the bad stuff.  It's refreshing for a change.  Thanks for listening to me boast.  It's been a kick ass almost 6 months.

Joe

That's quite an accomplishment Joe, one to be very proud of.
