cut bleeding contacts with hiv+ saliva and blood
« on: November 02, 2013, 12:26:07 am »
Good Morning, for start my english its not very good so i hope you understand me!
MY name is rafael, and i apologize since now for the next details.
i had one episode of risky sexual behaviour last sunday (so 5 ago) with a transsexual that claims to be clean, but after all that happenedand i started to think of that i dont believe "him" AT ALL so im scared of death!
consedering he is infected what happened was,: we start to kiss, then he did to me oral sex without condom, then i get rimmed and fingered, and then we had sex with condom, but he didnt even get cum( but thats its not a point that i should be concerned i guess)!
Anyway, i didnt do anything to him except french kiss, my extreme concern is, after that i went home went to wash myself and defecate (??? poop) and when i was cleaning my anus i noticed blood in the paper, i know probably cause of the penetration!I
IF its was not cause of the penetration and there was already a cut( in the anus/mucous membrane) when he rimmed me and once or twice fingered me( lets suppose that he had a cut blendding too cause i cant remember) , is that a fact that a should be worried about? the possible bleeding cut in his finger and his saliva im my open wound im mucous membrane?is it?

cause i dont know if saliva in contact with a supposed fresh cut or even a possible cut that he might could had at the moment in the his finger, it could have there in ,any situation, enough amount of saliva or blood contact so i can get infected??

i've been Reading all days since after about hiv infection and i really need na answer from someone who knows about it :(, !!!

PLEASE help me i can't barely eat or sleep since then , what a stupidity i did :(
OF course i will do in 2/3 weeks and later after all the STD's tests, but for now i need to know what i should expect and do :(

please dont ignore this message and help me as soon as you can i'll be forever thankfull to you!

THanks in advance, Rafael Oliveira

Hello!

Rest assured, I have read your story and your english is fine.

I must correct a few things.

The most important part, of course, is that you have had NO risk in the situation as you described it.

Saliva is NOT infectious. Moreover, saliva contains over a dozen identified elements that render HIV inert and incapable of infection. You kiss, even with blood present, could not possibly transmit HIV. Nor could rceiving oral sex, being rimmed, fingered, or having penetrative anal sex with a condom.

A condom is an excellent barrier against STIs, especially HIV.

I am sorry you found blood on your paper after. This sometimes happens when your partner is not gentle enough, or your desire outweighs your body's ability to adapt to the sex. It is not a sign or any infection or any breach in your protection. Your condom provided that.

Fingerign, with or without a cut on your partner's finger, is NOT a risk for HIV. It is simply too fragile a virus for such a method of transmission to take place.

Your risks for HIV are:

unprotected anal and vaginal sex
sharing IV drug needles
occasionally from mother to child during birth

Please understand that you had no risk.

Now for one other thing. I understand that English is not your primary language, but please be aware that using the term "clean" to describe an HIV negative person implies that those of us who have HIV are "dirty."

I actually just now stepped out of the shower. I am as clean as I am likely to be this evening. And it is an insult to HIV positive people to imply that they/we are dirty. I urge you to stop using that term, and to persuade your friends to do the same.

HIV is not anywhere near a death sentence. As a matter of fact, with access to medical care and treatment, it is an inconvenience - but hardly worth the stigma that still surrounds it. In addition to providing HIV information and risk assessment, we also seek to reduce the stigma that surronds HIV and hurts our prevention efforts.

Please pass on the information you have learned from this site, and steer your friends here as well.

As I said earlier, you have had NO risk in the scenario you described.

"Many people, especially in the gay community, turn to oral sex as a safer alternative in the age of AIDS. And with HIV rates rising, people need to remember that oral sex is safer sex. It's a reasonable alternative."

Thank you for your attention since now, and im sorry about usingnthe word Clean, i didnt knew and i definatly never wanted to mean that people with hiv are dirty, very sorry about that, neer thought that could be offensive :-( i learned that...

Just one last doubt specificly bout my anal mucous membrane bleeding while i get rimmed..well i know that yes sounds really dirty but supposing that the transsesxual that i was with, licked me while im bleeding, theres is an increase of risk of getting infected on thet case?

Sorry once again for the clean word missunderstood i learned the lesson it will not happen again ...

Rafa,

Being rimmed (or rimming, for that matter) is NOT a risk for hiv infection. Not only is saliva not infectious, but it also contains over a dozen different proteins and enzymes that damage hiv and render it unable to infect.

Before you ask the inevitable question about blood in her mouth, unless you're in the habit of repeatedly punching a person in the mouth before they rim/blow/kiss you, there could not possibly be enough blood present to cause concern.

Not one person has ever been infected through rimming and you're not going to be the first.

None of the activities you're worried about are risks for hiv infection.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST FOR HIV SPECIFICALLY OVER ANY OF YOUR ACTIVITIES WITH THIS PERSON, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

And by the way, you repeatedly refer to the person you had sexual relations with as a "him" or "he". A male-to-female transsexual person is a WOMAN, regardless of your thoughts or doubts on the matter.

It is insulting to refer to a M-F person as a "he", "him" or any other male terms. The proper words to use are her, she and woman. Please respect other people and use the proper terminology when talking about or with them.

Thank you Ann, thank you all that waste some minutes reading my history and answer me after... i learned a LOOOOTTT a lessons this week, that i will definatly not forget ever, i have been trough the worst days of my life cause i m still a litle bit paranoic and afraid, and i know i have to wait to gt tested...it was the only the unique episode with a transsexual, never happened before nver will happen again i dont know where was my mind, im hetero and have a lovely gf, so whats kill me the most is this feeling of guilty, cause im way from my gf for 6 months i went to work to another country, i go back soon and the guilty plus the afraid of beeing infect plus the extreme regret that i m feeling.... i rather prefer brake a leg or an arm than have this feeling of heavy conscience... maybe i felt careless and i was weak do i did the enormous stupidity...that could cost me all the good i have in my life :-(

Anyway what is done is done nothing to do no just wait for the time, take all the cares with my gf until there, get escuses to avoid her until my 28 day test, hope there was not a risky, and pray for all saints pray for Jesus and wait for divine forgiveness, to start my life independent, not beeing anymore under mamas wings :-)

Once again thank you for your time i ll tell you and for who are interested my 28day test result and future tests... for ALL std... thank you
