A wonderful, happy and healthy New Year to a great lady and her big family, on two legs and four. And to all my other friends here at Aidsmeds, where it is still Dec. 30th, a happy and safe one when it comes and watch out for those you love and cherish, and all you Fockers as well. ;)

I have this monstrosity to look forward to all fucking day tomorrow.  It's the most vile experience of the year, and it goes on, and on, and on from about 8 AM until 8 PM right in front of my apartment.  This video is shot a few blocks below where I live.  An endless stream of bad costumes and weird saxophone bands... and Irish people.

Wine in general is vile. Totally wasted on me. The good stuff tastes exactly the same as chateau shithouse.

No palate for it at all. As far as I can tell vino comes in two flavours - red and white. On special occasions you can drink the fizzy stuff.

I can't do wine -- allergic to the sulfites in it - instant headache even from one sip.

I can't do wine -- allergic to the sulfites in it - instant headache even from one sip.

Then join me in the cheap seats, darling. We can drink everclear straight from the bottle together. :)

I'm now moving up to the bottle of Gigondas.  My palate is divine.

I used to love the grain punch we used to drink in high school --- one bottle could get 9 people drunk - and was always good for catching at least one person's face on fire --- better than fireworks on New Year's Eve....  I should start hearing gunshots from my apartment balcony any minute now....

Trained, no doubt, by all those years sampling Carribean semen?

Its a quarter to 7 in the evening. I am starting with a nice cabernet pinotage from Sebeka vintners in South Africa.

It was a gift.

I think the best wine I have tasted was one called Sangre de Toro from Chile. YUM.

Happy New Year, and Goddess bless us, every one.

HUGS,

Mark
