According to my friend, Dr. Efrain Garcia is the best and is aN HIV specialist. He does all blood and urine workup including Vitamin levels etc.  He is also a general internist and appears to have been in the game a long time.  They say he takes time explains things well and is compassionate.  Check out his website, seems very modern and up to date. Hope you find someone you like as trusting ur doctor an the relationship you have is the most important in this journey.

Have you contacted any of the local ASO's?  I know about 6 years ago Mercy Hospital in Coconut Grove was considered top notch by many I knew.  At the time, they offered all the services offered by the ASO's-- case management, labwork, doctors, etc., etc..  One of the doctors there was considered to be the best in Miami, I can't remember his name though.

What part of South Florida do you live in?  Also, have you talked to anyone about ADAP?
I despise the song Love is in the Air, you should too.

I believe Dr, Garcia is at Mercy.  It doesnt hurt to ask and I think they do take out of pocket or work with ASO's and Ryan White...Just call they could always say no or recommend you to someone, but he is supposed to be the best!

Go to either Broward House or Care Resource. You can't self-pay your HIV care unless you're a billionaire.
Blessed with brains, talent and gorgeous tits.

Frankie, go to Dr. Gary Richmond. A friend of mine goes to him and goes on a sliding scale only pays like 250-300 for bloodwork and 60 for doctor's visits and he is an hiv specialist in fact he owns his own little clinic where they also do hiv clinical trials too. Their number is 954-524-2250. Just tell them u arent insured and want to pay cash on a sliding scale. Dr. Richmond is in Ft Lauderdale

You could contact Memorial Regional Primary Care Clinic and set up an appointment for eligibility. It is located at 6730 Miramar Parkway in Miramar (south Broward county). The number is 954-276-6600. Good luck....

Memorial is very good - I used to go there when I lived in Broward County (Hollywood) - they were excellent.
