My numbers have dropped. :'(
CD4=150 VL= undetectable 10-12-06
CD4=174 VL= undetectable 06-15-06

Dry those tears buddy. The CD4 counts can vary widely from test to test, I think you know that. The change in your absolute count is nothing to worry about, the most important thing is your regimen continues to provide maximum viral control.
(BTW--do you know what the % was before and now?)
Your doing well, so try and not focus too much on that one number.

What are the two CD4% results from these two sets of labs? The drop in your CD4 isn't really significant. Chances are that your percent has stayed the same - and it might even have gone up, rather than down. The CD4 percent is a much more useful number. Have a read through the labs section of the Lessons. The significance of the CD4% is explained very well there.

You're still undetectable Jerry, and that's good news.

Jerry that fluxuation dont count... You get to do a "do-over" in a couple months. Dont worry about this. It is important to post your percentage cd4/cd8 ratio... Thats the clincher... As well as <50 which is always fantabulious... ;D

As others have said >> cd4 count will fluctuate.
Getting over/having a cold, infection, flu, etc. will cause this as an example.
Try to have your blood drawn around the same timeframe when possible. Thiis will affect the total cd4 count also. Stick to morning, aft, pm, for consistency.
Chin up buddy. Your immune system is reconstituting itself. Take a vitamin, eat well and exercise. My bet is your next visit will show 200+ .

Try to focus on the positive here. You're undetectable and that will bode well in the future, because your body will eventually get momentum from the rest in not having to fight the virus directly. On a personal level you've been through a lot with this move, so chalk some of the CD4 up to that. I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest adding a multi-vitamin to your treatment (I'm not sure what you're taking now, but...). Advanced HIV can effect absorption and perhaps you're body isn't getting enough of what it needs to rebuild. You've been on meds for a year, so it's early yet, but I suggest giving yourself the extra boost to help your system heal. Hey, it can't hurt!

Jason hit the nail on the head. You DO want to start taking a multi-vitam as well. While you are at it you may want to consider taking some Omega 3 as well. Keep up the good work.
