got results back ..

HI all,

 I got my results back and there not to good..
I went down to 161 t cells..Plus now I have high blood pressure.
Another pill to swallow.

I got off reyataz it made me sick to my stomach..All I did was throw up, and
it was a very acidy liquid.......omg..never again will i take another reyataz in my life thats
for sure..

I am now on Lexiva...still truvada and norvir.....
and with in two days I felt better already..

I also have to go for a sonogram tomorrow for my liver, then monday for a liver biopsy..
Just pray its in stage 2 because thats treatable ...

I am not looking foward to injecting myself 2x a day for 3 days a week for 9 months at all.

The doctor said, well at least youll lose weight. Like that was going to make me feel better....

If its stage 1, I am fucked..then Ill need a liver transplant..........so please pray for me
that its stage two or better...

Geesh....I am so tired of all of this, but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do, so
Iam doing it..

Thanks for keeping us updated on your counts etc.  I thought in another thread Ann said that the 2 x a day for 3 days thing was an older technique and there was a newer, easier one.   Of course, I don't know.  You're in my prayers.  Hang in there girl!

Glad the Lexiva suits you better

The newer treatment for hep C uses a type of interferon called  "pegylated interferon" which is injected under the skin once a week.

I have to do more research..Because my cousin had it yrs ago...and thats what I was
thinking Id have to do..

Well thank god to a new medical way of having to do less injection....

I am not looking foward to this one bit...
I was told, I will lose weight and lose some hair as well...but if I have to do I will..

It is same day surgery...a couple of hours long, I know ill be starving when this is all done
Couldn't eat or drink anything 8 hrs prior to testing, then a couple of more hrs until they
are done...
One thing I know..I will come home and eat eat and drink...I am going to be starving..

I hope I didn't mess things up for me..??
I couldn't sleep so at 4 am this morning I made sleepytime herbal tea. no milk no sugar..so
i hope i just pee the sucker out, and by the time I have to register and the cab is coming at 9
when I have to be there at 9 may help somewhat..
I am not telling them I had some tea, because I cant and dint want to go though the anticipation of all this again...

So I am saying NO..I didn't drink or eat... ....what do you all think..??

When Mini had her MRI a couple of weeks ago and was being sedated, she couldn't eat 8hrs before, but she could drink until 2 hours before.  As long as it wasn't milk or anything red, orange,or purple, it was OK.  She had applejuice and all was well.  Can't be colored because if she would throw up,they need to know if it's red because of juice or because of blood.  Tea should be fine.  Just in case, I wouldn't tell them.
