whats up ladies
i turned 32 recently. im in a relationship with this guy, hes much younger than me etc. so like i was thinking its time i had a baby. he's always going on and on about how he wants a baby and i was always telling him that i couldnt because of my status and he was too young and what if i got sick and what if we couldnt afford it cos i would need an operation and what if the baby is born poz etc etc etc. im in africa by the way. and i know its possible for a hiv+ woman to have a neg baby. i was diagnosed in 2005 and have been taking combivir and efavirenz since november 2009.
my question to all the ladies who deliberately got pregnant while poz - how did you get pregnant? did you do self insemination? IUF, IVF, poke a hole in the condom, not used a condom at all? cos the last thing i want is to infect my bf coz hes negative. i'm getting some syringes and i'll start self inseminating tonight. we'll just have sex with a condom and then draw the semen out of the condom. will that work? we'll use normal condoms not the spermicide ones unless all condoms already have spermicide (which i didnt know)

I didn't deliberately get pregnant whilst poz (wine was to be blame!!!) but have a gorgeous healthy boy nevertheless (his father is poz too). Just wanted to say congrats on your decision and don't worry, everything will be fine!!
