Workout tunes
« on: November 13, 2006, 11:06:53 am »
Any suggestions for tunes that are good to workout to? I have to have good music when I lift weights. I used to listen to music when I jogged but since I've switched to trail jogging I prefer no music. Here are some of my favorite workout tunes:

The Clash - Rock the Casbah
Pet Shop Boys - Postive Role Model
Garbage - Push it
Still in Hollywood - Concrete Blonde
Just a Girl - No Doubt
This Boy - Franz Ferdinand
American Idiot - Green Day
Bad Reputation - Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
It's the End of the World As We Know It - R.E.M.
Deeper Love (C+C Tribeman Mix) - Aretha Franklin
You Wanna Get Me High - The Donnas
Hate To Say I Told You So - The Hives
Dreaming (Utah Saints Mix) - Blondie
Ray of Light - Madonna
Diggin' Your Scene - Smash Mouth

I think NPR would get my blood pumping in a bad way.

Yes, Jason, you are lame for working out to NPR. You need to get some serious creative tunes in your blood baby!

May I suggest you both do two things: 1) get an iPod (preferably a Product RED); and 2) you download Lance Armstrong's Workout Picks from iTunes ... they get me going on long runs even when I am not really feelin' it.

Although I suppose Jason has a point ... if you put audio of President Bush speaking on my iPod, I'd probably have high enough adrenaline that I'd shave a few minutes off my PR.

Scissor Sisters- Don't Feel Like Dancing
Adrian Belew- Big Blue Sun (old school, but it's still got alotta bounce)
Solar Stone- Seven Cities

Did someone say Queen??  A Kind of Magic
