COMPLETED MY 2ND TREATMENT OF PMMA WITH DR. CASAVANTES
« on: March 25, 2010, 11:17:07 pm »
AND I'M A HAPPY CAMPER!!!!! THE RESULTS ARE AMAZING AND HAVE BEEN A BIG BOOST TO MY SELF ESTEEM........

MY FIRST TREATMENT WAS JANUARY 8, 2010, THE SECOND TREATMENT WAS MARCH 19, 2010.
INITIALLY, I WAS AT A LEVEL 4 ON THE LIPOATROPHY SCALE. ALL SIGNS OF LIPOATROPHY HAVE BEEN ERASED.

AFTER READING ALL THE HORROR STORIES ABOUT BIO-ALCOMID, I FEEL BLESSED TO HAVE FOUND A PERMANENT PRODUCT (PMMA) AND ALSO A KNOWLEDGEABLE/CAPABLE PHYSICIAN FOR THIS PROCEDURE.......

MY RESULTS WITH SCULPTRA IN 2003/2004 WERE VERY DISSAPOINTING TO SAY THE LEAST.......LOTS OF MONEY DOWN THE TUBES.......

NOW TO DEVISE A WAY TO BOOST MY CD4S AND KEEP MY VL UNDER WRAPS.......

What area did you have the treatment done in?  I've been losing fat in my temple area either due to age or atripla.  Also how much does it cost?

Thanks,
Chad

Also I'm curious about what is the recovery time? Can you do it on Friday and be at work on Monday without people noticing?

I had facial PMMA done 5 years ago and took a few vacation days from work because I knew I was going to get swollen from other peoples experience. I took 5 days off from work and had my face done on a Saturday, good idea because he used a large amount of PMMA and it took exactly like 4 days for the swelling to go down. The rest of the days were enough for a little bruise under my eye to erase because of a capilary vein he accidently touched with the syringe and I also let my beard grow because it was obvious I looked normal and people were going to notice. They did, and they thought I had a fuller looking face because of my well trimmed new beard and because I said I gained a few pounds. I got rid of the beard once everybody stopped focusing on me! Lol. That took about 3 weeks... :) But the PMMA has kept intact after these years. I'd think about it twice if I ever have to get a touch-up because it was pretty painful and I tend to be less tolerable to pain now. It wasn't a nice experience getting it pumped into your face, but well worth the physical pain and the cost!

Thought I would borrow this thread since I to have completed my 2nd treatment off PMMA with Dr. Casavantes.
The First treatment was in April & the 2nd was on Oct. 2  2010.   Was probably somewhere between A level 3 & level 4  facial Lipoatrophy.
I had PMMA applied to my Cheeks, Temples, jaw line, forehead, & the space between the eyebrows.
Fore Head & space between the eyebrows was the main focus on the 2nd treatment with touch up's in other areas to.  It was A pretty big fill altogether.
Was Rather uncomfortable & A little painful but no regrets here.  The improvement is tremendous & am much happier with the way my face looks now.

Thank You Dr. Casavantes & staff       For giving me back my Idenity & confidence
