Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

Hi.
Here is my story, I will not bother you with symptoms as I know this is not relevant.
Please tell me if I have been at risk.

Some weeks ago I had a sexual encounter with a girl, lets assume she had HIV.
First she preformed oral on me and I had a condom on, then I performed some oral on her and 5 weeks before this I had a surgery in my throat.
Then we had sex with a condom on which I did not see broken (assume I would have seen it if it had).
I also rubbed her clit a bit and I saw that I had a cut on my finger!
To top it off we rubbed (no condom) our privat area together for maybe 1 minute but I stopped it when the head of my penis went into her vagina for maybe 1-2 seconds.

It was only the head and it lasted very shortly.

Am I at risk here?

I tested for all STD and HIV earlier this year as I thought it would be good idea since I never tested before.

You didn't have a risk of contracting HIV in the situations you've provided.

Well you'll just have to put up with a reply from me.

Roddles is quite correct. You were not at risk of contracting HIV from the sexual encounters you describe.

Receiving protected oral is not a risk. Going down on a woman is not a risk. Masturbating another person (male or female) is not a risk. Having protected vaginal and/or anal sex is not a risk.

Not even letting your naked knob in her womanly hole for a brief second is a risk, though you should avoid that as it can easily lead to unprotected fucking. It's called "dipping".

Nothing you did put you at risk, but I agree with Matty that "dipping" is to be avoided in the future. It's much too easy to go from that to actual intercourse. Frottage or rubbing your penis against the vaginal lips is also not a risk, but that is different because it does not involve any penetration.

In terms of protection against sexual transmission it's not complicated: simply use a condom every time for vaginal or anal intercourse. Those are the only confirmed risks for sexual transmission of HIV. Use a condom without exception for any reason and you'll be well protected.

Thank you all for your replies; it has been a great relief.
Normally I would not stress after such an incidence, but also normally I would not have a single exposure like this.
The reason for my stress is that I immediately started thinking about HIV after this and 4 days after I my throat started hurting, I felt fatigue and got some headache. The throat hurt for about 4,5weeks and I did not feel 100% well and my mind was thinking constantly about HIV. I did not feel any fever and the highest temperature I had was 37,2C* (99F*). These symptoms must be quite similar to ARS. A week after my throat started hurting I had 3 days with muscle pains as well.

Now I am not thinking much about it as you and others say that I was not at risk.
You still have the same oppinion that I do not need to test?

Why would you need to test over a NO RISK incident?

Another thing which I was amazed by is how little a lot of doctors know about HIV, my doctor acctually manage to say that kissing is a big risk for HIV.

It is worse than unfortunate how often doctors are not up-to-date with the basics about HIV risk. But the sad fact is the kind of ignorance you ran into with yours is not that unusual.

Fortunately in your case you did not do anything risky. As long as you consistently use condoms for vaginal and anal intercourse you will be well protected against sexual transmission of HIV.
