I think this is good news my new numbers!
« on: March 19, 2007, 11:41:02 am »
I saw my ID doctor last week and I have been hesitant to post my new numbers. Not because they are not good. I guess I just do not know how much anyone will care. Bad, thing to think, isn't it.
Anyway, my CD4's went from 100 to 364 good improvement from December when I started Atripla, my Viral load went from 495,000 to 716 also a good improvement in less than three months. My percentage is 12% and my doctor said he does not pay much mind to percents anymore. I was able to go off the Bactrim and was vaccinated for both PCP and Hep B. So I think things are going pretty well. I have little side effects from the Atripla and put 11 lbs back on. The thing is now I have to stop gaining weight, that seems to be the most difficult thing that I have to do at this time. Its time for me to start going to the gym. My gym bag has made it out of my closet and into the trunk of my car. Oh yeah I lost my car during my last illness, it was repossessed, embarrassing but when you are out of work for months at a time it happens. So anyway I bought a new car last week. Well not a new car I got a 1986 classic Mercedes Benz in perfect condition, and paid cash. Still fighting the bill collectors and trying to keep my head above water but I am moving forward. The stress is what is difficult right now.
That is my update, I am trying to keep fighting a good fight.
Thanks for all the support.
Peter

Thanks everyone, and yes I am happy with that no car payment. Especially with such a great car, I told my kids a 1986 chevy was an old car but a 1986 mercedes is a classic.

That is a damn good improvement in the numbers. That Atripla seems to be doing its job.

Regarding the car, well, wow! To go from being car-less to a classic mercedes is nothing to sneeze at.

And no payments!

Keep up the good work!

HUGS,

Mark

Great improvement!  The meds do their work!!!  Keep heading in that direction.  And lots of people here do care.  I've found that out!
