Welcome to Do I Have HIV?

Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

A seven-day subscription is $9.99, a 30-day subscription is $14.99 and a 90-day subscription is $24.99.

Anyone who needs to post more than three messages in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum -- including past, present and future POZ Forums members -- will need to subscribe, with secure payments made via PayPal.

risk from handjob...please help...

i and my friend went to a place to pick up a sex worker. I didnt wanted to have sex due to my fear of hiv. But she gave me a handjob in the car while travelling. i want to tell u that i am from india and that is a tropical place. i saw her hand and there were no cuts or sores.But i now worry that before me if she had given handjob to some infected person and had semen on her hand, can it infect me wen she gave handjob to me...the time when we picked her up and the act done is about 15 minutes and i mentioned our climate. she came to that place on a two wheeler scooter. So am i at risk. Please give a detailed answer.  I am very much worried about it and i am not able to do nything due to anxiety.

Masturbation is not a risk of HIV transmission.

If you wear a condom for penetrative anal and vaginal sex you will avoid HIV.

That's the whole deal.

Okk but i want to ask that if she gave handjob to some other person who is hiv + before me and had semen on her hands while giving me the handjob...is there any risk of hiv . Please reply soon

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug abusers
Mother to child
