Hello, people.
So this is the story. Me and my wife have been together for 14 years and have been tested negative in the past. A couple of weeks ago she decided she wanted to experiment with another woman and we had a threesome with a girl of unknown hiv status.
We all had oral with each other and I had vaginal sex with my wife only. There has been some fingering also. I have read a lot of the posts here where the big majority of people state that oral is no risk, which I get. What got me thinking is, IF the girl was positive, is there a possibility of infection during the penetration act with my wife, as in pushing a significant amount of infectant material inside her that remained from the previous acts (oral and fingering, as the girl used her mouth on both of us, or my wife might have fingered herself after fingering the girl, ot anything alike)?

Relax. Neither you nor your wife were at risk for hiv infection during any of the activities you engaged in with the other woman.
Fingering is not a risk for hiv infection. Hiv can only infect a very few, very specific types of cells and these cells are not found on the skin. Even if small cuts, hangnails, chewed fingernails etc are present, fingering is still not a risk.
Hiv is a fragile, difficult to transmit virus that is primarily transmitted INSIDE the human body, as in unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse where the virus never leaves the confines of the two bodies.
Once outside the body, small changes in temperature, and pH and moisture levels all quickly damage the virus and render it unable to infect. For this reason, any vaginal fluids on you or your wife's fingers would not have presented a risk.
Receiving oral from an hiv positive individual is also not a risk. Not only is saliva not infectious, but it also contains over a dozen different proteins and enzymes the damage hiv and render it unable to infect.
Sexually speaking, only unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse are true risks for hiv infection. You did not engage in unprotected intercourse with the other woman, so you weren't at risk.
You and your wife have NOT had a risk for hiv infection. Enjoy your memories of the event and stop fretting about it.

Thanks for the reply. It was a very intense and memorable experience indeed and we both liked it. I just got thinking about it later and got worried about the possibility of her getting infected because of this crazy idea of the fluids of the other girl going inside her during penetration, and then you know - the idea grows on you.
Although we're not freaking out about the possibility, if we decide to do it again, we'll probably go for someone with a known STI status so we don't get bugged by getting worried later.
