Highs in the low 70's and lows in the 50's - my kind of weather!  I expected it to be much hotter, but I'm not complaining.

See you in a couple of weeks!

sounds good to me.  I'll make sure I bring my hoodie to keep me warm at night.

A couple of pairs of shorts,  my Levis, some t-shirts, socks and underware and that should just about do it.   Think it's time to start packing?

I just sat down today and made my 1st list.  I'm looking at the list, our baggage, and back to the list...LOL...it may be time to start a second (shorter) list.

I'm ready for this adventure. This reunion. To meet Mum and Mini. To see the ancient pyramids. To greet Mexico City.
To slum the streets on a couple of nights.

I'm taking some long pants like maybe some khakis or cargo pants plus jeans, and also a pair of nice slacks and a dress shirt. Mexicans tend to dress up when they go out to clubs and such. I'm thinking it's going to be pretty cool (by my standards) except for when we go to the pyramids.

I'm also bringing 120 lomotil tablets in case Philly runs out of loperamide...and plenty of ativan...and I need surgery on my left foot for chronic pain so has anyone figured out what's available in the local farmacias ?

So guys, if Mini is travelling with her tiara, I suggest that the rest of us leave ours at home.  One tiara at AMG is enough and it ain't polite to upstage a Princess (even if she does answers to the name of Bubba).

Thom and I will pack on Tuesday night, the 12th.  Tucker will be in the doggie hotel and not think that she is coming with us.  Shorts, jeans, slacks, t-shirts, dress shirt and anything else I want to throw in at the last minute.  Thom has to find his toilet kit, last seen after San Francisco's AMG.  There are several places where it may be hiding, so that is his task this weekend.

Have to update our Rx lists, make copies of all the various documents to take along and send to Thom's sister and confirm our ground transportation in Mexico City.  Other than that, we are ready to go.

VIVA AMG, Ric and Thom

I haven't seen anyone mention bringing a jacket, sweater, or a raincoat / umbrella.  The nights look to be rather cool, even by my standards, and it does tend to rain in the afternoons.  Also, sunscreen and cootie killer (hand sanitizer).  For those who were planning on buying a phonecard to call home, it was suggested to me that I wait until I get to MC and buy one there.  My dad bought one in the states to take to France and then France wouldn't accept it.  It was an AT&T phone card, but he had to buy another one there.

Mini and I are now, unfortunately, sick with respiratory stuff.  So, I've made my 2nd list to include all manner of allergy / inhaler type medications, dramamine, ibuprofin, and old reliable pepto.

Less than 2wks now.

Mum and Mini: Respiratory problems! Oh no.  I'm thinking the higher altitude will run you gals down sooner than later. Hope this can run it's course before you depart. But if it doesn't, we'll work with you.....rest stops on our treks and a piggyback ride for mini if she loses momentum on walks.  :D

The cooler temps are why I'm not wearing shorts. I figure by the time we head out each morning it will still be in the 60's so I'm packing lighter weight pants and jeans as well as long sleeved shirts. Jacket & Raingear. Those rainy afternoons make for good nap time for this one. (Although, I will be sleeping soundly at night despite the noise--> Rx helpers.)

Creighton, I'm sorry about your foot pain. Timing sucks since you are headed to a fair degree of walking around--it must be daunting. How strong are Santiagos arms?  ;D
Our friendly guy in Mexico, Ricardo, would likely be keen on pharmacy issue. (aka miracaolle: http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=22255.0

Mike, no need to worry about us, hun.  I'm just wondering if there's someplace we can rent a couple of wheelchairs for you old blokes. :P

I've been fighting a yeast infection in my lungs since last October.  I'm starting another round of meds "guarunteed" to knock it out before we leave.  Mini's having a bout of sinus / allergy stuff.  Queens do NOT make good patients.

Ric, you all should bring your tiaras - Will the real Queen please step forward. ;)

And a quick shout out to Rab who'll be on his way Sunday.  Here's to safe travel mercies and luggage that arrives when and where you do.

Mum

Good Lord Woman you scared the bejesus out of me for a moment!  I paniced thinking "wait I'm leaving this Sunday?".  Actually I leave a week from Sunday (I hope that's right).   ???   ;)

I will be delving into my extensive wardrobe for some lovely surprises... be forewarned.  Garment bag will be checked!  Hats, gloves and shoes!  (OK... no gloves)... accessories, yes!

All of my 15 meds have been re-filled.  I'm pondering putting them all in a large bottle and just carrying the print-out scripts with me in case of questioning.

I have washing and dry cleaning to focus on come Monday.  And yes, I will have a raincoat I think, and collapsable umbrella.  I need to ponder shoes -- one pair of sneakers I can't abide by.

You guys seriously crack me up!  No suprises here - gone 6 days, so 7 outfits: 2 travel, 4 everyday, and 1 for Friday night.  2 pairs of shoes each - 1 for everyday and 1 for Friday night.  Tinkerbell rain poncho and a pink sweater for Wee One and an umbrealla for me.  Toiletries, lots of Bath and Body smelly good stuff, and we're packed.  Mini's med refills are on order, her tiara is polished, we have an afidavit signed by Hubby (thanks to Ric for the suggestion), and she has an official ID that we can carry.  And, unless we run into issues with security, no checked baggage.
