Kindly Suggest and Help...Exposer with HIV +ve female..

Dear Sir/Madam,

I m 37 yr male from India.Kindly suggest on the following.

I had unprotected Vaginal Intercourse 2 times in the interval of 15 days with a strange women doubt to be HIV+ve.

I had all the ARS symtoms like On and Off Rashes on the chest and under armpits,swollen lympnodes under armpit,on and off diarhoea,Mouth Ulcer,weekness,bodyaches and low grade fever and night sweating.

I took Elisa HIV 1 & 2 test (2nd generation) exactly 80 days post last exposer Result came back Non Reactive with cut off value-0.9 and Elevated WBC count ie,14500.

I also took Western Blot test exactly 95 days after last exposer. Result --Non Reactive..

Now its almost 8 month and since last 10 days i have swollen lympnodes on the neck and its painful sometime and feel tired always, body aches..I am smoking a lot almost 10 cigarettes in a day.

Kindly suggest and help once...My test result are conclusive with all this situation or i require further testing? as somebody told me that your cutoff value is 0.9 so you require further testing but i did it with western blot method..and in india test results are conclusive only after 1 year time as quality of test use is not so good in India due to corruption.

You have reliably tested negative for HIV. You are HIV negative. Period.

Whatever caused your symptoms was not HIV. If the symptoms persist you should discuss them with your doctor to find out the real cause.

You can avoid any risk sexually in the future for HIV by always using condoms for vaginal and anal intercourse. Those are the only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV. Use condoms everytime without exception and you will be well protected.

This time you have made it through safely so protect that gift by always using condoms.

As Andy has told you, you are conclusively hiv negative and you do not need further hiv testing at this time.

If you feel unwell, see a doctor. Whatever is going on has NOTHING to do with a virus you do not have. You could be missing something important through your misguided focus on a virus you have already ruled out as a possible cause.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED FURTHER HIV TESTING AT THIS TIME, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

So you mean to say i dnt have to worry i dnt require further testing...80 days Elisa 2nd generation and 95 days western blot is conclusive ? inspite of whatever is going like Swollen lympnodes,tiredness etc etc....kindly confirm once again for the last time...Thanks once again.....May God fullfill all your wishes,its my pray for you both.

You are conclusively HIV negative and do NOT require additional testing . The symptoms you are having do not have anything to do with HIV because you do not have HIV .

I hope you are able to move on and except your results , life is far to precious to be worrying over something that's a non issue .
