And birds have been dropping from the sky en masse over Arkansas (I'm not going to be a snobby Noo Yawka and say that if I were over Arkansas I'd drop from the sky too but a whole lot of blackbirds did just that.  Scientists feel a massive lightning strike or a huge hailstorm at high altitude may be the cause.  Some large fish kills have also occured.  Naturally our fundamentalist religious friends like to take the time to assure us this is the beginning of the end of time and really between the Mayan calendar and Nostradamus and the bible thumpers there really is a countdown for some folks, oh well let them have their fun, in life things always seem to happen when you least expect them anyhow.

Yeah I heard about the Birds and the Bees *enter pun here*

But I saw an interview awhile back with a scientist regarding the Bees, cant remember the station or the guy...but the gist of the conversation was that the world we live in is not all pretty flowers and green grass. He stated there is always something biological trying to kill us and every animal on earth every second of every day. He said for the most part the animals and humans can repel the "attacks" but occasionally the attacks succeed. He likened it to a war with living beings barely winning due to an ever changing enemy.

He stated the Bee die off was due to an immune failure brought on by a virus, and mentioned SARS, Flus and HIV in humans, among other things.

Wished I could find a that interview again, very interesting.
