Last few years I am doing biomedical research in CCR5/CXCR4 delta32 allele mutation. I would appreciate everyone if there will be any new discoveries in this matter. I am european physician an have this mutation. My partner doesn't (my last partner was HIV positive also). Regardless my sexual position and unprotected sex, I never get infected (this doesn't mean that I am suggesting anyone to do the same. Please protect yourself, Re-infection is the worst that can happen to anyone, as with reinfection with other strain of virus puts a human body under enormous danger).

I would appreciate if someone will have any new scientific research information regarding CCR5/CXCR4 delta32 matter.

Hmmm I think that if this is a chromosomic mutation you can't really have something that will hit the DNA of all existing cells to remove that chain prior to cell division. This mutation must come from both parents to be viable, so that's not an easy task! But it's a very interesting problem!

It's been quiet long time that I am trying to find out how to make a homozygous delta 32 deletion from the CCR-5 chemokine receptor gene. It happens in the nature, when genetic sequencing is altered by external antigens.
