The same storm system he is going to get came through Birmingham where I live and we have an inch of snow on the ground . This is the first white Christmas we have had in the 100 years that weather has been recorded .

I celebrated this momentous day in bed sleeping all day .

I had a few inches myself last night. Mmmmmm......

But the snow we had finally melted with some rain overnight. We had the first white Christmas in at least 20 years.

They're about to get 18 inches in Snookiville (aka Seaside Heights, NJ)  Did I mention that season three begins on the 6th of January?

I believe it is entirely possible Miss P gets 8-12 inches in July so no big deal, although since he moved to Philly they do seem to be getting an inordinate amount of snow on the other side of the Jersey turnpike, wonder why that is?  Hmmmmm.

I've never seen blizzard warnings for such a large area -- currently NOAA has it from the southern tip of the Delmarva peninsula (meaning the part in Virginia opposite Norfolk) all the way to the Canadian border with Maine.  That must be 50% of the entire eastern seaboard, and close to 900 miles.  That's just the actual blizzard warning, it's currently still snowing 200 miles further south from that point, and 100 miles north into Canada, so that's 1200 miles worth of snow even if much of that the snow doesn't penetrate further than 50-75 miles in from the coast.

ps: Ford, those must be the most masculine looking dogs I've ever seen.  Nobody in your neighborhood must have any idea that you're gay when you're out walking them.

I was expecting to see some Rotties or at least a mean looking pitbull.  I had completely forgot that Ford mentioned in the past that he and the husband have two poodz.  They are very cute, happy pups however.

When I lived in Hawthorne, part of Los Angeles, we had a large white poodle similar to Casper. When I walked him around the neighborhood I had no idea why the gang members didn't harass me.

Lyndhurst, NJ outside of NYC got 29 inches of snow.  Philadelphia "only" got 12 inches.  I'm currently 3 hours south and west of that, or 40 minutes west of Washington, and we only got some flurries.

Yes, there was a steep gradient directly west of the city limits.  It was the difference in getting +12" and getting 3" -- I'm amazed that Wilmington, which is just 25 miles from my apartment, got just 3" while the airport got 12.5"

You got a lot more snow than we did.  That house has to be one of the most picturesque homes I've seen in a long time--especially with the snow.  You could make that into a Christmas card.  Is that your house?  What video editing program do you use?  I've been wanting to start putting home vids into videos like that.

I was as well. I live right outside of King of Prussia, and couldn't believe how much the city got compared to us.  I want a real snowstorm.
