Welcome to Do I Have HIV?

Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

A seven-day subscription is $9.99, a 30-day subscription is $14.99 and a 90-day subscription is $24.99.

Anyone who needs to post more than three messages in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum -- including past, present and future POZ Forums members -- will need to subscribe, with secure payments made via PayPal.

... because I just fed-ex'd my HomeAccess sample off this morning!

Over the past year I've had numerous (way too many) sexual encounters with a couple guys I met on craigslist, a transsexual escort and several other female escorts.  While I have taken this site's advice and ONLY engaged in protected vaginal/anal intercourse (e.g. always used a condom) ... I have on many occasions engaged in giving unprotected cunnlingus and analingus as well as receiving unprotected oral.  I don't know the status of any of the girls or guys I have met but given that and the fact that some of the escorts have just dropped off the radar, I'm very very nervous.

Anyhow, I am going to post my result in three days and once and for all put this issue to rest.  Given all the contradictory information about oral sex (even here on this site) I am expecting bad news especially in light of the number of guys and girls I've been with over the past year :(

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

And nothing you have reported today has put you at risk for HIV transmission.

Based on that I expect your test result to be negative.

Negative (via Home Access test).

Thanks to all who respond in these forums.  I hope to never be back here ever again (you all probably hope so too) ... and I hope my story alleviates the fear and worries of anyone out there with similar experiences.  Regardless of risk factors, engaging in the activities I have (and continue to struggle with) were wrong and risky.  The thought of what they may have resulted in and how that would affect both my life and the life of my family and loved ones was a primary factor for my HIV fears.  Hopefully what once made me obsessed with HIV infection will keep me from the actions that put me here in the first place.

That's a happy if not unexpected negative result. Celebrate it by always without exception using condoms for vaginal/anal intercourse and you will be well protected against the sexual transmission of HIV.
