Now Doctor has me worried

First let me say the service you guys provide here is fantastic and I dont think you will ever know how much you help. Let me start by saying Thank you !

Now onto my story.  I am a 48 year old Hetro white male. Last tested October 09. All test Negative.  I have ocd and I really hate testing.  Because of the OCD I dont sleep or eat till I get my results.  So last year I decided No more risks or taking ANY chances. I would rather masturbate than have to worry about being infected.  But in the normal turn of events  ( I guy needs to feel the warmth of a body next to him once in a while).   Now I am going to be totally honest and not leave out any details.  In the last year. I received oral sex 3 times from 3 non prostitutes, Actually they were all married or involved in a relationships.
Then in June a met a single girl (non-pro) and we spent the day having sex.  the sex consited of her preforming oral on me  Unprotected. and Vaginal sex EACH AND everytime Used new latex condom and each and everytime I took off the condom and condom was intact.  No anal no "unprotected vaginal and NO ANAL.       Sounds normal right?  But I went to doctor last week for normal physical and I told him exactly what I wrote above. no details left out.  And he insisted I have an HIV test.  He said I put myself at risk. Condoms arent 100% and oral is a risk. Now I know he is a little home town doctor.  Now I have read the 100's of post here  and I am beginning to think my Doctor is a little off the wall as far as HIV.  I know HIV test are recommended for sexually active people. But  from what I have reported DO I NEED AN HIV TEST! AM I IN DANGER. ?    thanks for  your time.

I'll agree with you that your doctor is "off the wall" where hiv is concerned.

Not only is saliva not infectious, but it also contains over a dozen different proteins and enzymes that damage hiv and render it unable to infect. Why would getting a blowjob be a risk? And don't even go there with the "blood in the mouth" scenario. Unless you're in the habit of repeatedly punching a person in the mouth before they blow you, there could not possibly be enough blood present to worry about.

Condoms have been proven to prevent hiv infection. The only time they might not is if the condom breaks and if any of your condoms broke, you would have known about it as it is VERY obvious.

There have been long-term studies of couples where one is positive and one is negative. In the couples who used condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, but no barrier for oral activities, not one of the negative partners became infected with hiv. Not one.

I myself was in a poz/neg relationship for over eight years and he's still negative to this day. The only thing we did to protect his negative status was to use condoms for intercourse. They DO prevent hiv infection!

You didn't have a risk and you don't need to test unless it's for peace of mind.

Thanks ANN..   Even though I know you are right  or at least fromwhat I have read I felt the same way you do.   It still worries a person when a doctor tells you something face to face.  I mean after talking to him and with my ocd..  makes you want to give up sex all together its almost no fun ....   what use to be the most fun things in the world now you are affraid to do  life sucks......
