Author Topic: CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH MY PROFILE? (Read 6924 times)

I have no idea how to "insert a quote". I have no idea why my pic doesn't show up next to my posts like yours do. I don't know why my email doesn't show up in my profile. I UNchecked the box that said to hide it My pic is not shown in my profile???
Anyway, my name is actually, Kelly. I have been positive since Oct. of 1990. I've had a stroke since then. 6 years ago. I am 43. I live at home now because I could no longer care for myself. I take about 4 different A.I.D.S. Meds and a few others for the stroke.
My labs are pretty excellent considering....
My VL is undetectable and my CD4 are above 500, like 547.
I am more than likely posting in the wrong place. If so, I apologize. It took forever to find out how to just "create a new topic"!! $:-\$ I live in Florida by the beach and I am very happy I found this forum. I have been getting the AidsMeds newsletter for years.

Nice to meet you! There sure seem to be alot of very nice people here. I've remained alone with my thoughts about my status for so long. It's great to come here and hear people speaking openly about it. I am able to speak freely about my HIV, but since my stroke I don't get out much. My family doesn't mind my speaking about it, but nobody else has it. I feel like people here can totally understand me

I know it said that you aren't poz yourself but by going through this with your husband you know basically what it's like.

I guess I figured out how to get that next to my post at least

Now I just can't figure how to get a quote in my post or how to get the lab stats on my HIV or which meds I take inserted in my post permanently.

Hi Kelly.. and welcome!

To add a permanent signature that shows up on all your posts click on the 'Profile' button next to Logout then under where it says Modify Profile click on 'Forum Profile Information'. Scroll down to the section where it says 'Signature'. Enter whatever you want into that box then go to the bottom and click 'Change Profile'. Afterwards whatever you typed should show up under all your posts.

Welcome. And we mean it. Everyone is welcome here. Some of us are more quiet than the others but that doesn't mean were any less loved or wanted.

Now I'm not a pro with the new profiles either. TedEBear told you how to add a "signature" line at the bottom of your profile. Just below the space where you entered your picture is another "signature line" where you can add a few words and that will come below that beautiful picture you posted. If is's confusing, wait for Dingoboi....He good. He's real good.

Over in the LIVING WITH AIDS forum is a thread where you can introduce yourself and learn a little more about some of the rest of us.

Thank you to everyone who responded. I really enjoy this forum. It's just so different here than anything I've experienced in the past 16 years.

Bailey, I watched your video. How cool is that? I'm not even asking how that's done...LOL. Everone else who have pics by there posts. Man!! Those are really beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Hope i tell this right as im no whiz on computers. click on change color...pick whatever color you want..should look something like this [ color =purple][ /color ] then you type your message between the ] [.and you get this..hope i explained it good enough and wasnt too confusing.

If you are totally confused hopefully someone will come along that will explain alot better than i have. But i tried

LOL..thats where i got it too. The happiness fairy..I just clicked on the pic and saved it. I had it as my background for the longest time. The way the little guy looks is about the way i feel first thing in the morning until i have my coffee...LOL

Guess what? I had saved the happiness fairy also and I didn't remember.

when u reply to a post do you see the green G button? just click on it and it works like the colors.

You can use the happiness fairy anytime you want but i think your pic is so nice. I had a pic of myself up there and hubby saw it and kinda freaked. He was afraid i might be recognized. He only found out last month and he doesnt want anyone else to know, so i took my pic off and put up my little green man.

I can understand your husband. I was that way for a few years myself. There are still some people I feel the need to keep it from, but nowhere near the way I was before.I was downright paranoid! Thanks for teaching me the glow thing.
