Need a supporting Advice..
« on: November 19, 2014, 11:18:13 pm »
Hi all,

First of all i want to apologize for my bad English.

Let me explain a bit about myself. I'm 27 y.o. Male and straight, all my life I've never been using drug, smoke or alcohol. But my problem is more about Sex.

For the last three years, i frequently went to Massage spa and the last time was on 31 Oct 2014. i was planning that this year would be my last year for this kind of activity. But I'm starting to panicked when i read several resources on the internet about HIV. Which i never even bothered before.

For the last three years until my last activity on 31 Nov, i always use condom for vaginal intercourse. But for oral sex (blow job) sometimes i didn't. Sometimes i did Deep kissing but i don't remember whether i have ulcer in my mouth or not. What i remembered was the last three exposure i had.
-on August 9, i have protected vaginal and unprotected oral but when i ejaculated and then exit from vagina condom left inside her vagina.
-on September 18, i have protected vaginal and unprotected oral.
-on October 23 (last activity), i have protected vagina and deep kissing (with one tiny ulcer on my mouth)

a week after my last exposure (31 October), i get tested for Rapid test 1, 2 and also ELISA  which is comeback negative. So, my HIV Counselor telling me to get tested for another 6 month for validity.

So my questions are,
1. Do i really have any chance of HIV exposure?
2. Do i really need to wait for 6 long month to get test again?
3. Can i get infected from medical exposure when i get my blood drawn for HIV Test? Because i didn't see the health worker change the needle when he drawn my blood.
4. Can my ulcer from the last activity cause the HIV?
5. So after my last test, i only need to concern for my last two exposure. Am i right?

please guys, help me. The anxiety i got from all of these is killing me. This is where i know that the knowledge about HIV in my country is really outdated compare to other country. Your advise will be a huge help for me.

Thanks.

You had protected sex so you have not had a risk for HIV . Getting a blow job or performing cunnilingus is not a risk for HIV but the larger point is you have tested negative and do not have HIV, risk or not . The window period is no longer than 3 months,  a 12 weeks negative test past any possible exposure is conclusive … no need to test again for this specific incident .

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI.Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence .

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

thanks for the reply sir.

so just to make sure, i just need to test 12 weeks after the last exposure? i know that according to you that i don't have the risk for HIV, but the test just for my peace of mind.

I can bet my whole fortune that i will get negative right?

Thanks.
