Title: Back Again Need Re-assurance.
Post by: jaytakecare on June 27, 2006, 09:08:08 am
I was here a month or so ago, and I had been through hell over two months worrying about if I was infected. I turned out to be neg. Since then I have taken every known precaution there is. However I engaged in intercourse last night, with my now steady, un-tested girlfriend. She had just come off of her period, and assured me that she was done. So I put on a condom, and we had intercourse. I pulled out, and the condom was still intact, however there was old blood on the condom, and the base of my penis, and a little on my balls. I went to the bathroom and carefully checked, and removed the condom, it was still intact, and took a nice shower.  Am I cool? I think I am ok, and do not think I need to worry based on past advice from you guys, but I want to make sure…

Thanks

Your head is playing games with you.

You used a condom for intercourse. That's exactly what you're supposed to do. Everytime. No exceptions. The fact that some of your partner's menstrual blood touched the back end of your penis and scrotum is totally irrelevant.

Condoms do a very effective job of protection. It's the head of your penis that must be covered and you have clearly indicated it was.

You were not at risk in this incident. Even with an HIV+ partner you would not have been at risk.

There's no need for testing nor for further concern. If you haven't already read the lesson on this site about transmission then take a few minutes and do so now.

Cheers,

So here is my story / questions,
I have had unprotected oral from several women, I have deep kissed each one of them. One of them had a tooth break the night before with blood, gave me a blow job the next day. Same woman rimmed me, and fingered my butt with her spit as lube, I have an anal fissure that was irritated but no blood.

I gave a woman unprotected oral the other night...first time in 5 years...(due to HIV fears) it was awsome...but now the what ifs are coming up.....

Each of the women claim that they are HIV neg..

I have not had unprotected sex since my last hiv test a couple of years ago.

Am I at risk of HIV with anything listed here?

So are blowjobs (safe)?
Oral on a woman (safe)?
Rimming with fingers and spit with fissure (safe)?
Always wears a condom for vaginal and anal.

Thanks

First of all, I have merged your threads. In the future please follow our rule and keep any other entries in this same thread. Thanks for your cooperation.

Once again you are worrying needlessly. None of the activities you are reporting are risks for HIV transmission. The essential fact in all of what you are concerned about is that you wore condoms for intercourse. That means the head of your penis was covered which is what is most important.

There is no need for testing for HIV nor for further concern on your part.

However, we do advise anyone who is sexually active to at least annually have a full STD panel done. Other STDs are easier to acquire than HIV, so it's a good precaution to take regularly.
