Look... it was 70 degrees in Charleston yesterday!  Seventy!

Then, I step off a train at 7 AM this morning and am greeted by all of 19 degrees in Richmond.

At least I got to gloat to my coworkers.

I am born and bred East Coast... I could never leave.  Plus, I like seasons.  If crushing humidity in the summer, and frigid winters are the price to pay for long springs and really glorious falls... it's totally worth it.

We got up to a balmy 12 F today.  Compared to Monday, when it never make if over -10 (-35 wind chill), it's pretty ok today.  It's supposed to keep going up until Sunday when it might get up to the low 20's.  Woohoo!!!

It's going to be a "mere" -2 tonight (but wind chills to 17 below).

I grew up in Bombay, where a cool evening in "winter" is 70.

It's funny how zero feels warm when it's been negative double digits for over a week.  The walk home from the train tonight felt tropical.   ;D

It would take a hell of a lot, for me to handle the winters after all these years. We're about 70 degrees right now. It has been miserable the last two mornings, driving home from work. The worst fog, I have seen in quite a while here. Could barely see the car, ten feet in front of ya !

its in the 50s in hOuston today. Freaking freezin.  Last year I wore shorts everyday except three. Not this year. This is our coldest winter in ten years. HOw do you all live up there?

I was feeling the same way about the weather...hate it...until I saw the weather they are having in New York. Over 100 inches of snow. My weather doesn't seem quite so bad now.

I can't agree more! I Hate this weather cause I'm basically stuck inside. We didn't get the bad snow that some areas in Ohio got but the 6 or so inches we did get was compacted down and turned into ice after we got a few hours of freezing rain. Just thankful we didn't lose power. I just tried to walk out to the mailbox and ended up on my ass. With my limited mobility I shouldn't have even tried but hard headed as I am I tried cause I wanted some fresh air. I had to scoot on my butt about 15 feet until I got inside the garage enough that I could stand again. Fort Meyers is looking better everyday!

God Jeff, what an awful story. Glad you made it to the garage safely.

High of 10 today. Low of minus 1, wind chills to 20 below.

I haven't gone to a bar, a library, or a gym (basically my three favorite places to be) in two weeks.

Well Jeff....we have the same kind of messy icy situation here.  I put the car in the lot after going shopping and .....slipped and fell on my ass. I am ok.
