I knock back 1000mgs of Vit C when I'm feeling especially run-down and it seems to help although it does give me the shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiits :-[ but yeh, more than what you need is expelled from the body and not absorbed anyway

@ TabooPrincess - Yeah, you have to be careful with Vitamin C. Excessive amounts (like several grams a day) can cause diarrhea.
Years ago (when I was neg), whenever I had a cold or flu-like symptoms or some other illness, I would take 3 grams of Vitamin C per day and I don't recall any side effects.
@ NY2011 - That's a good list of supplements. I've taken most of the items you listed at some point, but not all at once. I consider green tea must have. I always notice a difference in my health when I'm taking it.
