Gotta love mom..
« on: May 06, 2008, 04:58:11 pm »
My mom and I had gone to the mall this past Saturday, we walked by a toy store that had stuffed animals in a box outside the door. She picks up a frog and it makes some kind of funky croaking noise which surprises her and she lets out a scream! She throws it back in the box and we both start laughing but then....she farts! Her eyes open wide, she laughs even harder, I put my arm around her and we start walking away - quickly. Then she says while she's laughing, "Whew...at least it was a fart and I didn't pee!".....as she looks down at her pants to make sure.
Just a little 'incident' I wanted to share.

:D. :D...A similar thing happened to me only with a box of Morton Bay Bugs I thought were dead until I picked one up. I screamed and tipped the box over when I dropped it back in, there were Morton Bay Bugs crawling all over the floor, my son quickly got me out of there..only I was laughing so much I did pee my pants..but only a little.. ;D

I don't know about the freaky frog reaction but your mom and I are on par with the other matters.  My bladder has become a totally involuntary muscle and I shall spare you further details about that and my other revolting (like the French Revolution) bodily functions.

Getting old is heck but the alternative still isn't that attractive.  Yet.

Several years ago, I invited my mother to come and visit for a few days and took her around to see the sights and sounds of Ottawa. One afternoon I took her to an IMAX film at the Museum of Civilization. At one point the camera was in an airplane and heading over the edge of a cliff. She started to get a little freaked, but instead of grabbing the armrest of her seat she grabbed the knee of a man sitting beside her. I think I saw both of their faces glowing bright red (and mine) in the dark cinema that day.

Reminds me of when I was a kid and my mom, my brother and I were standing in the check out at K-mart. They had wire baskets with various doodads and my mischievous little brother found a rubber snake and said to my distracted mother "Hey, mom look". She takes a look, screams and smacks the snake out of his hand so hard it knocked him down and he starts crying. I was laughing my butt off. Good times... :D

My mom was short, barely over 5 feet tall and we lived in this old house which had a high kitchen sink.  One afternoon, mom was bitching about something so, my sister and I each grabbed an arm and a leg, lifted her up and set her in the sink.  ;D  Have the best day

Mom and JW bought a "little ranchette" for their horses with a river and stock pond where they spent many a wekend feeding the horses and getting away from the city life. Visiting one summer we noticed that he had finally named it as we passed under a sign..."Passing Wind"...I commented on the name as I envisioned tumbleweeds being rolled along by a passing wind....JW just said..."nah...I named it after your mother, everytime she bends over here lately...she's "passing wind".... :D
