Hi, I'm new here. Just figured I'd say hello.

A little about me: I'm 23 yrs old, single (and lonely as fuck, lol), been poz for 3 years (going on 4 in June), in the process of dropping the bottle (an ongoing struggle), and I'm learning to love myself.

Hoping I can make some use of this forum.

Shadow,

Welcome to the forums.  This is a great place to discuss our personal issues, as well as learn about the virus.

It is good to hear you're trying to quit drinking.  You don't say how bad it is, but by wanting to quit, it would seem you realize it is too much.  I wish you all the best on that.  I look forward to hearing more from you.

Ted

Hey newbie,
I cut back my drinking drastically and feel much better. i was drinking 5 nights a week 7+ drinks a night for the last few years and it was definitely taking a toll on me. i'm not one for absolutes so I never planned on quitting drinking all together. sometimes its nice to have a few drinks with friends to celebrate something or just to relax and have a good time, i think the key is in moderation and knowing when is too much. for me it is anyways! good luck with your endeavors and welcome to the forums.

Thanx for the well wishes Wolfie.

and thanks for relating texaninnyc87, I try my best to moderate on the regular, but I'm coming to the realization that it's all or nothing with me. I'm in a program at the moment helping me come to my senses in that regard.

Working on me, me, me for once in my life.  ;)
