Med Switch Question? Kaletra to Prezista
« on: September 25, 2008, 09:58:24 pm »
My doc scheduled the new drug Prezista, in 300mg tablets, to be taken all in the morning along with Truvada and Norvir (Ritonovir). If my calculations are correct that is 900mg along with one 100 mg Norvir, duh. I am reading the recommended doing schedule and it is not at all like what my doc ordered I figure I will give him a call just to verify I also know there is a clinical trail going on for 400mg tablets twice a day along with Norivir I guess I should trust my doc. Is anyone else on Prezista what dosing schedule are you on?
Diagnosed November, 2005
Medications: Truvada (NRTI), Kaletra (PI)
02/08

jpy-

I'm on 300mg Prezista (with 100mg Norvir 2x day) Truvada & Isentress (2x a day) but I have been on many different treatments over the years.

This dosing has given me the least amount of side effects.

Never be afraid or too shy to ask your doctor lots of questions.  It's your body and you have a right to know.

Best of Luck,
AA
