« on: March 14, 2008, 06:28:25 pm »
i know i havent posted much but any help would be great on this. . .

First off, im in a trial for a new version of Viramune, coupled with Truvada. Because im on this trial and its free meds and doc visits its like 2 times a month for the first bit then once a month, then every 3, then every 6. It is supposed to last 2 3/4 years. I just entered the once a month stage. Also the trial sends only my vl test to a lab in england so it takes a while for them to get back. . thats why theres the ?????

My last visits have been good, i have more energy and obviously a stronger immune system now that i am on these pills. The last time i went my cd4 went down and i thought that was bad :( but my percentage (which i just started asking about btw) went up? whats up with that. . . did my number just get better or worse?? ??? ::) ???

Hey Audio,

Your CD4s are basically stable. The drop was so small that it doesn't really matter. The good news is your percentage went up, which means that, overall, your immune system is gaining strength.

The percentage tends to be more dependable regarding ups and downs than the absolute CD4. CD4s can fluctuate a great deal depending on circumstances such as stress, fatigue, time of day, etc.

Don't let the numbers make you sweat. Looks like things are going well, based on the CD4s.

HUGS,

Mark

Hi there,

Is that the once a day Viramune? Also , as Mark stated, try not to worry on the numbers. Your percentages are looking very good.
