A face only a mother could love
« on: April 30, 2007, 10:54:33 pm »
This old girl is called Cassie she came to me yesterday through the R.S.P.C.A, she belonged to an old lady who passed away last week and her family didn't want the pig anymore..she is Kune Kune pig.

The organisation has told me there is no point in finding her a home because she is so old, I'm told that she may only live for a couple of months, so I will keep her until she passes away, she is not in good health and can't walk very well so it's just a case of keeping her comfortable... she is very friendly and loves human company...I have been looking at getting a couple Kune Kune piglets for some time now..I just love them they can be trained just like dogs and make wonderful pets...they are very beautiful when they are young, but as they get older they get uglier..it's like the ugly duckling and the swan in reverse... :D

Hugs to you all
Jan :-*
P.S...sorry this should have been posted in the "Off Topic"  pressed the wrong forum.

She's not ugly!  OMG!  I think she is adorable!  Didn't you know that "ugly" is the new "cute"?

She is SO lucky to live out her last days with you!

Oh Rod you don't know the half of it... :D :D

I agree Lisa she is very beautiful...but I need to do something about those teeth... ;)

I have her in with the goats but they don't pay her any attention, the Alpacas on the other hand are breaking their necks trying to get a good look at her and the sheep are not quite sure what to make of her... :D

Hugs to you all

Thanks for the compliment Betty, I love animals, I have my own, goats, Alpacas, pet sheep and chickens on my little hobby farm here in NZ, but I volunteer as a foster mum for unwanted and sick animals, mostly goats, Cassie is my first pig..and when they are back to a healthy state I try and find good homes for them...and believe me I get a lot back from them, they help keep me sane.. ;)

Hugs to you

Cute, Jan.

Long live the Pig.

robert

ps... I think you've posted this in the right place.  I really don't see any difference between living with a pig or living with Hiv.

Jan

OMG!   :o  Cassie is certainly a sight!  LOL!

I'm thrilled that the big oinker has found such a wonderful home for her remaining time.  She's going to thrive I suspect.

You are truly an angel and your animals are the luckiest creatures on the planet as far as I'm concerned.

Okay, first thought is "Alf," second thought is "Yorkie on Steroids," third thought is "She's beautiful and she's the luckiest pig in the South Pacific to be living with JAN!"          :-* :-* :-*
