Symptom Deja Vu
« on: June 01, 2015, 05:22:42 am »
Hi Everyone...Hoping you guys can put my mind at ease.

Quick over view: I've been poz for about three years. On meds and undetectable for about two years and had no drama's with my medication.

Over the past week I've had the exact same symptoms I had when I was first diagnosed positive; ulcers in my mouth, fatigue, muscle aching, bloating, loss of appetite and diarrhea. I know my blood count and VL can fluctuate occasional but I'm a little concerned these symptoms are telling me my meds aren't working like they should be and maybe need to be changed? Has this happened to anyone else?
I know I'm being a little paranoid and it could simply be a flu but I really don't want to have to change my meds and the exact same symptoms is messing with my head.

Thanks in advance. :)

It's not treatment failure.

You haven't had medication issues and you've been UD for 2 years.  You can't go from that to treatment failure and a high enough VL to be sick in the time since your last bloodwork.

It's possible you picked up another viral infection that's causing the same symptoms. If you feel sick enough to go to the Dr, then do it.  Maybe he'll order a VL test to rule that out and put your mind at ease.  It's just some other bug causing you the issues right now.

ojo      Hello vetton...as you just said, you are UD for two years, you have no treatment failure despite your cd4 levels....when you start seeing your Vl increasing in various blood work tests, then you will say that your treatment isn't working anymore..like , the previous member posted (sorry I forgot his name, I'm getting old, lol) you mught have gotten a bug, check with your doctor if you are feeling so sick...wishing you the best, and get that oof your mind, it is not treatment failure....hugs                      ojo
