I've awoken this morning and Mr Headache and Mr Swollen Glands have joined the party....Yippee!!!

I originally thought the vomiting and diarrhea were just old friends who'd dropped by to trash the house together ....they're an occasional visitors and respond somewhat variably to the usual treatments, immodium and maxalon. But with the other stuff I'm now betting on a stomach bug.

That'll teach me to spend the weekend nightclub hopping, snorting blow off the butts of nubile young men and snogging Paris Hilton's Ex.........Especially the last action was bound to bring me into contact with some nasty bug.

Nothing worse than exploding simultaneously from both ends, particularly when you're living in shared accommodation like you are. Been there, done that, got the red face.

Sounds like the flu or what they call here the "winter vomiting virus". (yes, I know it's summer where you live, but you can still get it in summer.) If it's the latter, it should clear up fairly quickly. If it's the former, you may be stuck with it for a while. Either way, make sure you're replacing the liquids you lose. Sports drinks are good for this and even if you don't hold them down for very long, some will still get into your system.

Hope you feel better soon.

Ah yes, me today, not good (at least I was sitting down in an appropriate location but need to paint behind a bit of the radiator now, doc thinks it's Norovirus but in truth that's and educated guess, at least the WCs at my GP have an air freshener canister).

Since I want to show the proper level of empathy and compassion, I need help in determining just what "kind" of shit you feel like.  Are we talking "hot shit on a silver platter" or more like "cold diarrhea on a paper plate"?  I would hate to disappoint you and I eagerly await your reply.  ;D

Ye gods, you have all my sympathy. And then some.

I don't even know how the human body is able to expel digestive contents in tandem like that, but it's horrible.

Worst. Feeling. Ever.

Feel better soon, please.

Number 2 (pun intended)

Forget the empathy and compassion, just send codeine, mouthwash and someone to empty the bucket.

Times like these it's nice to have one of the bathrooms small where the sink and tub are close to the toilet. One, that never uses the master bedroom bath.  ;)

I keep a smallish bucket tucked away in the bathroom for those special moments. Can't reach the sink or the tub, so needs must.

In the hospital, I just puke all over the place because I don't have to clean it up, change the covers or the sheets.  ;)

I promise the nurses do get their revenge. Ever noticed how long it takes for them to get your pain relief or how many stabs it takes to get blood from you? ;)

Poor Growler, can you not pop your head out the door and just shout " I need codeine now " Morphine would be best bung you up and make you not care about puking.
You do have the most delicate digestive system , but it will pass ,Take good care Growler, cuddle up with a nice sports drink.

Happy to report that the fountain appears to have been shut off.

On an interesting note I jumped on the scales at the pharmacy today and I now weigh 85.5 kg (188 lbs) I'm the same weight I was when I was 15!

I'm starting to get used to the new me, although I'm bitching that I brought new clothes (ok, used but as good as new) about 7kgs ago to replace my then baggy clothes and now they new ones are loose on me.
